  1. Control methods? I use a joystick, and racing pedals for rudder control. Is firing a Vikhr done with the same button as firing unguided rockets from the gun pods? Because I have no problem firing those. Edit: Oops, my bad. Apparently, I cannot fire unguided rockets either. I think it's a control configuration problem. I'll check for any misconfigurations now. Edit 2: OK, no joystick button was assigned for the 'Release weapons' option, but the Space+RAlt combination was set. So why can't I fire anything but the cannon?
  2. Hi, Thanks to some helpful tips I got from another post of mine, and some practice of course, I am finally able to hover my helo above the desired ground. I was able to hover in front of some enemy tanks and locked on one of them. I chose the outer hardpoints for Vikhr and placed its diagonal on that of Shkval's diagonal. I also see the C letter, which means I am pretty much ready to fire. However, hitting Space+RAlt does NOT release any missiles, even when holding it for seconds. Shooting the cannon works, though. Here's a screenshot that, hopefully, captures the relevant panels for you to be able to tell why can't the missiles be released:
  3. Henchman14: Thank you, it works. power5: Those buttons actually pull up and push down the collective stick.
  4. Hi, Is it possible to freely (not on specific panels) zoom in and out in the cockpit without using a TrackIR (or FreeTrack)?
  5. I'm not familiar with the HSI and VSI. I should read the cockpit part of the manual first. bogusheadbox, looking sideways is one of the best indicators of what exactly?
  6. I have a serious problem getting my helicopter to stop so I could engage auto-hover. When I pull the stick backwards and thus the helo by about 30 degress (I don't think the degree matters, though) with an airspeed of say 60 km/h (forward), after a few seconds, that speed (or slightly less) becomes my backwards speed, and I really don't know how to deal with it. I think it's like the third law of physics. It's really frustrating. I'm finding myself entering vortex rings and what have you, simply by trying to stabilize the aircraft at zero airspeed. I have seen tutorial videos about hovering, and it actually looks very easy in those videos. The instructors seem to have no difficulty at stopping the helo at precisely 0 km/h. Wish I could do that, so I could finally aim my weapons without having to fight the movement of the helo. Another problem is that, when I increase the angle of attack, I can't help but also slightly bank. I just find it hard to move the stick straight backward without also slightly moving it on its lateral axis. Please, HELP. :D
  7. I've already printed it on A4 papers, spiral bound. It came out fine, but if the spiral won't hold, I can always pay another 15 bucks to hardcover it.
  8. I eventually printed it on A4 paper, b/w, color cover. Spiral bound, of course. Came out very nice, but I'm afraid the spiral won't hold very long because there's just too many pages, so I might have to hardcover it later, if I see fit.
  9. I just don't want my printed manual to be ruined due to extensive use. It's not a one-time reading book, after all.
  10. Thanks. It helps a lot. Do you happen to know what weight the paper is? Is it like the kind people use with home printers, or something more "robust"?
  11. Hi, I've downloaded the extended flight manual for Black Shark from the DCS website, which is 534 pages. Having a printing house print it for me is much cheaper than buying the printed manual, because shipping to Israel would cost 18 dollars. So I would like to know what kind of paper to use for the printing: Is it A4? If yes, what weight per paper (80 grams, 120 grams, etc...)? Thanks in advance.
