Well, not on the map itself, can't imagine the uproar amongst our passionate community members, but maybe a weather balloon as AI unit ?

 

First thing I'm gonna do once NTTR is out (while it's downloading actually) is a "goodbye" flight above the Black Sea map.

I'll stop in every airport and thank the ATC and the crew chiefs for all these years supporting my wreckless flying. I might drop a few nukes since I don't plan to come back before a while :D

When you purchase and download the new map, you will essentially be installing a new, stand-alone build. This unique Open Alpha build will consist of DCS World 2.0 and the Nevada map. All modules will install within the Nevada map Open Alpha as they do with the release and Open Beta versions.

Check the option.lua in the user/saved games/DCS.openbeta/config, not the one within the main DCS folder.

Catchy title, isn't it :)

 

I'm surprised ED went with hexagonal lens flares, which is typically produced when using "cheap" cameras.

 

6-blade iris diaphragm :

 

As you can see, this lens has an hexagonal shaped aperture. It would produce hexagonal shaped lens flare or bokeh in the right conditions.

 

(...)Rounder flare and bokeh is normally preferred from pro lenses, which is why they use more blades, but with added cost.

9-blade diaphragm

 

 

I like hexagonal lens flare, it gives an "amateur" feel to screenshots but it look odd on proper "beauty shots"

Would you consider adding the option to switch between hexagonal lens flares and round ones ?
