  1. That Helios profile uses one of the Warthog Radio buttons to toggle that panel, have a look in its read.me file and it tells you were to edit the profile to remove that action with the radio button is pressed.
  2. I start the run the same way and come back down the same valley, but I go to the left side of the summit as seen from your video, if you go over the first ridge on the left side there is another ridge line just beyond it and it’s that one I then follow up to the summit saddle. I go back down the side you went up and turn to about 120 degrees and choose one of the two valleys depending on the clouds. By the way I think the weird sound in your videos is caused by clipping, try lowering your main volume slider in DCS down to about 25 or less and it should stop the stuttering. World might need dropping a lot too as it’s the rotor slap that is overloading the sound.
  3. Yeah the track files always break for me after the first engine shutdown, it just sits there and does nothing for the rest of the replay. I’ll have a look at your video in a bit I’m watching TV just now.
  4. Thanks, so start from ramp, is code for cold, lol. Cheers.
  5. Thanks for this mission Reflected! I'm having great fun learning the Huey which I bought less than a week ago. It amazes me how quickly I clicked flying her, I can put her down on a rig smack bang in the middle of the platform without issue, I suppose all that flying years ago on FSX in the DODO paid off, lol. Anyway ramble mode off. Is there anyway I can easily have the mission begin in a cold and dark state? I've tried having a look in the mission editor myself but had no luck finding anything. The reason I ask is that it would be the perfect place to practice cold and dark startup's before going to play with your missions. Thanks again. Andy
  6. I use Emergency Governor too, just in case I need even more reserve power. It's actually scripted for the Co-Pilot to turn the governor back to auto again after you clear the summit, so they are expecting you to use it. There is now way any pilot without a death-wish would have landed in that other spot, yes I did manage it once out of about 10 tries but that just goes to prove the point even more that it was a really stupid place to pick up. I could maybe manage it if I had enough power to remain in a hover with a skid touching the ground but... yeah not at 18.5 thousand.
  7. Well I'm glad to say that the mission now works perfectly for me and the 2nd summit rescue location now makes more sense, it's much safer for all parties. To be honest I've never tried this mission before 2.5 was released as I only bought the Huey because of 2.5 (so I don't know this for sure) but I think this is how the mission was supposed to look before the terrain mesh update changed things. I've made no further changes so the file above (post #96) will work fine if people want to give it a try.
  8. OK it didn't work with me moving them to the summit, but I now do know why. I've fixed it, I think, but I'm not trying it till tomorrow, too tired. If you want to give it a try I've attached it, I hope I'm not breaking any rules by posting it here. Elbrus Rescue_AndyDigital.miz
  9. I cant believe it, I lost my tail rotor this time, no idea how, the tail and skid were still intact.
  10. Having looked at the mission code for the 2nd group I think they are supposed to be able to get in on the summit. The value of 5612 which you have to be below to trigger is probably why it's not working in its current form. I'm going to try changing that to 5912 and move their travel waypoint to the edge of the summit to make it look a bit more realistic. I'll let you know if it works or not.
  11. It doesn't make sense them waiting on that side of the mountain anyway, they are exposed to the elements, they should be in a similar area to the other group or up on the flat summit, even the leeward side would be a better option.
  12. I tried the plateau at the summit and it wouldn't trigger for me, too far away. The first time I tried to relocate from that spot I hit the boom with the mains and it was game over. Second attempt I managed to get it down by flying down hill from the summit towards the soldiers, which is into wind too and that was my successful attempt. I then edited the mission again to fix the triggers at base camp (FARP) and on my next run up I spent about 4 minutes up their trying to land the same way. I ended up using Emergency rotor RPM to get it down but had another boom strike somehow, so I gave up for the day lol. I spent that long trying to get her down I think I borked the engine, hence the need for Emergency RPM.
  13. I didn't change the other part for this edit, it convinced me even more now that it didn't need changing anyway. I'm hoping they fix it for the final version, so hopefully it wont need editing again. I had problems with my second try earlier after the fix, so I'm not sure if it works yet, I just couldn't land on this second run up for the 2nd team :(
  14. This mission is in the evening, it's almost completely dark by the time you get back down with the second group ;) Or at least it was for me.
  15. Well I finally did it, but not sure how the mission is supposed to end when you get back down on the ground. I got the music on the way down from the summit but nothing after that. Funny story, on the way down I was avoiding cloud and ended up being much further away from the FARP than I normally am, I ended up adding about 5 minutes to the flight time because of that. I landed with about 150lbs of fuel, eek!! EDIT: Ah I can see why it doesn't complete now, there are two more 1815 altitudes that need changing in the Complete section!!, damn it gotta fly it again now lol.
