  1. It might help if this is explained on the site. But those pages are pretty minimal in explaining how to use the software and what to do when something unexpected happens. I'm really interested in this, but the past few hours trying to get it to work really cooled my enthousiasm. Hope you can help. I don't think 30$ is too much if it does what it's supposed to to. Should I contact you at software@bit-shift.com or post an extensive problem report here? (also tried to contact you through YouTube)
  2. I've tried to get Warthog working under Win7 32bit for 2 weeks. Without succes and with a number of hours invested. I now use Vista 64bit to play Warthog (only) and Win7/32 for my daily PC use (and gaming)
  3. Just wanted to say hi! New at ED/DCS line. Been eye-balling DCS:A-10C long before it's release. Didn't dare to buy it, since it seems to be way over my head. Finally did it. Really looking forward to plunging into this one. And already 'massaging' two friends to join in ;) Made my own avatar; is the A-10A in Strike Fighters 2 which I flew waiting for DCS Warthog to arrive. Yeah, I've been a light simmer so far, with my time spread out also over FPSs (CoD series), RTSs (TW series) and other sim games (Silent Hunter4 &such)
  4. I loved the game Hind (1996, from Digital Integration). Of course, it wasn't very realistic, with gunner and pilot rolled into one, but the great range of missions (airlift, CAS, SAR etc) made it a blast. So I'm in the Black Hawk camp. Figure, an US chopper next together with a Russian aircraft, would be great for the DCS range. Of course, AI isn't perfect. But so what? Look at Shogun 2: Total War. You can select in the single player campaign "I'll do my battles against AI, but if a real life opponent is available on internet and willing, he can drop in and join in". Such an option would be great in DCS. "OK, I have time to fly. Single player? Nah, first let's see what's available. Hey! I can join in as co-pilot here, pilot there or gunner in these two games. Mmmmm." (Ahhh, Milene beat me to it!)
  5. No I have: AMD Phenom II X4 805 Processor 2.5 GHz Performance Rated at: 5.25 GHz 3.7 GB RAM Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium Edition Service Pack 2, 64-bit ATI Radeon HD 4650, 2.6GB, Pixel & Vertex shader both 4.1 Logitech 2.4 cordless joystick TrackIR 5 I expect this weekend to upgrade to Windows 7 and a Radeon HD6870 So, would this run smooth, or is upgrading the RAM necessary? Thanks, also for the amazingly fast response!
  6. According to http://www.systemrequirementslab.com I won't be able to play DCS: A-10C. I thought I bought a 4GB RAM PC, but it's listed as 3.7GB. All other specs are good. I noted DCS:A-10C lists RECOMMENDED requirements and nowhere do I find MINIMUM requirements. I'm on the fence about purchasing. Any others who play without 4GB RAM? Does it still perform well? Thanks!
