The RAF spend around a million pounds per pilot to train them to their standard, they will never write off a pilot that easily. I recall a harrier accident some years back where the plane tried to land but lost thrust somehow and it collapsed into the ground and the pilot lost the use of his legs. Worked out cheaper to convert the rudder pedals to a control he could use with his hands.
Common you dont even belive this yourself. A pilot has so much to do, especialy in a harrier that he cant afford to not use them :doh:

I put my drunken foot foward in RF2, not a good idea
I managed to :
lead the way by getting downed first
stall my a/c at 12000m
do a falling leaf
forget my callsign
put my gear down while trying to drop chaff
Now u can imagine how it feelt to be your wing there:P

I had warning from the amrams behind me.
My accusations stays. Launching from 50 km with a aim120 is waste of missile (and dangerous as u can see) like every shoot one make directly after launch authorization.
Anyway excusation excepted. Lets learn from it.
Thx to Fudd for the good server performance this time, did work very well for all as i could see.

Ok Cali u owe me an explenation. Why the hell do u shoot from distance of 50clicks (to the closest bandit) when u KNOW eagle and cobra are there. If it would be a ballistic aim120 ok but this is unnessecary! :chair:
Anyway what is the point calculation now? Blue won probably? :(

convey messages to their flight.
Dont want to raise up another big discussion about TS or Ventrilo but wasnt your argument for Ventrilo to allow hearing impaired people to know what others are talking? What sense would it make if they get a typed message vocaly :joystick:
Or is there a dictatate function so the hearing impaired get a typed message of what is spoken :suspect::hehe:

do u know if it is possible to to use for the f16 for example the su25t cockpit/modell? cause i want to use the laser guided bombs and hope that they can become guided that way as well as using the mavs with correct aiming :D

Hallo.
Has somebody a good x45 profil for the american jets? My problem is that when i switch to guns and press the normal fire button a missile fires instead of the cannon (both A10 and F15) :rolleyes: . Is it possible to change a config file that way that it works the same way as in the russian jets-one button for missiles and guns or do i have to make 2 different fire buttons on my joystick for the americans?

I still not gave up to search a way to implementate more than the normal 5 or 7 skinns that are choseable. (I know that the others also have to install them in my team to see them and that I maybe be invisible to those who dont have installed it)
In some threats they talked about *.skin files. There are some in the bazar/world/shapes folder. U can open them with wordpad!For example the F18 has them. When u move them out of the folder and THEN start lockon u see the f18 almost invisible. only lines no painting. the *.skin file manages the different *.tga files for the different skins. so in my oppinion it must be possible to to make further *.tga files with ones own name and avatar and stuff on the skin and open them then for your plane. So if you rename for example the f18c.skin file to mig29c.skin and make that for every flyable plane, lockon maybe uses them to load the differnent skins.
i changed some things in the f18c.skin file (to load other *.tga files)to see
if there is an effect on the plane in lockon but until now it didnt.
Some skinners here that can handle that programming language in the *.skin files? thx

and for those that had same problem:
it is possible to use the "aux switcher" for flaps0 flaps1 and flaps2 ( but not the way i did :-)
do it that way:
right click mouse on the "aux0" and then "new extended order" and press ctrl+f
for aux1 press f
for aux2 press shift+f
that way the button get pushed only once :-) but u can read it in the sst manual if u r not as lazy as i am ;)

Jester u r the greatest! :icon_pray I spent the whole evening to get the best solution with the ingame button programming cause i thought im lost without a sf key.
My mistake was to set the flaps (flaps0 flaps1 flaps_full) on the aux switcher :rolleyes: and the x45 sent always the order strg+f what i noticed earlier but didnt care about it lol.
now i know from the sst manual that the aux button need a non prorgammed position.

Hallo
I changed my joystick from an old Logitech Wingman Extreme to Saitek X45 now. The problem is that Lockon 1.1 and the starforce**** wants me to make a new actvation when I load a profile to my X45 but i have no activations left. I can only start lockon when i load an "empty profile".
To change a joystick shouldnt has an effect of 30% hardware change :icon_roll
What can i do, i have no registrations left? Thx.
