rob10's post in Open beta 2.9 MT was marked as the answer
It should say MT Preview in front of the version number at the bottom right of the splash screen.

rob10's post in AWACs not following orders was marked as the answer
I check your Sinai mission and I can confirm you have no waypoints, so it's doing what it should. You can set it up the way razo+r mentioned or set a sequence of waypoints for them to follow with an "advanced waypoint option" of "switch waypoint" to set it back to the 1st one you want it to start at. This will make it go around and around.

rob10's post in INS not working in F18 since update was marked as the answer
No, TCN compass spinning is NOT related in any way to INS. When the TCN is spinning that means that it is powered ON but has no valid signal coming in (ie out of range of tuned TCN, wrong TCN freq entered etc). It was reported fixed in today's hotfix, but in the 1st version of 2.9 if you were in MP and didn't have Voice Chat checked in both client and server you got a really restricted range (like 20 nm).

rob10's post in How should i setup de L16 now? was marked as the answer
If it's an AWAC's datalink contact that's all you should need to do (assuming the server is set up correctly, and I'm going to guess that it is).
If you want to link to one of the other friendly fighter aircraft you put the SA captains bars over it and press on of the two OSB's on the bottom left of the SA page. Wags did a good U-Tube video that you can find in the Hornet mini-updates thread that I'd highly recommend you watch.

rob10's post in Carrier based player's aircraft getting spawned in the air was marked as the answer
Known bug if you try to use the Stennis and don't have the Supercarrier module currently. Reported to be fix in next patch.

rob10's post in Mavericks behaving differently with different types of startups was marked as the answer
The MAV needs to be boresighted to the TGP. If you start from ramp you will need to do this yourself. If you air spawn this will be simulated as already done so you don't need to do it. Lots of info in manuals and forums on how to do this.

rob10's post in Flag Increase Trigger Action was marked as the answer
The destruction shouldn't really matter (although I would go switched just on principle since once can be a little funky sometimes IMO). The tally trigger definitely wants to be SWITCHED. The other thing to check is to make sure your names are IDENTICAL. It's easy for a capital letter to sneak in or miss a letter and suddenly you're not playing with the same name. Also having an output of your tally on screen after it adds (or even just when the add trigger fires) can help narrow down where the problem is. If you can post a screen shot of your triggers or a copy of your .miz file to look at would help.

rob10's post in Mission 5 VIP target coordinates incorrect? was marked as the answer
Are you entering the co-ordinates as Degrees Minutes Seconds (DDMMSS.SS) versus Degrees Minutes decimal Minutes (DDMM.MMMM)? Change co-ordinate input on the UFC page of the HSI. Co-ordinates in the briefing for this mission are DMS.

rob10's post in Spinning Tires was marked as the answer
Just a weird one off bug then likely. Maybe you hit the exact spot where there is a terrain issue. INS should have no impact on being able to move the plane at all.

rob10's post in Not Seeing MIDS/Link 16 symbology was marked as the answer
The little trick with the F-18 is the fact that ACLS (automatic carrier landing system) got added. The first press of the D/L button brings up the ACLS controls and parameters. You need to press it 2X (should have AIC at the top of the UFC options) then turn it on to activate the D/L function. What you've been doing is just turning on the ACLS. It's likely not updated in most documentation yet.

rob10's post in F16 - laserguided bomb not dropping was marked as the answer
From what I read of your post it sounds like you are pressing the release button WHEN the 2nd release cue hits? If so that's your problem. You need to PRESS AND HOLD the release button any time after the 1st cue until you go through the 2nd cue and weapons release.

You can try RIGHT clicking on that cell and it should give you a drop down with options to select what you want.

rob10's post in Carrier Landing - No Nose Wheel Steering? was marked as the answer
If you have the gear warning and pulsing light then gear is damaged and that's your problem. Saw that recently when I came in too high and tried to slam the plane onto the deck to catch the wire 😳 (yes, I should have waved off). Used left throttle and right toe brake to limp out of the landing area, but no real steering.

rob10's post in F-18 unusual behaviour was marked as the answer
Are you on a slightly older version that still allows you to use Game Avionics mode? Uncheck that would be the 1st likely culprit.
Are your flaps at 1/2 (or full) when you're taking off? If you have it mapped to a physical switch in your controllers it might be setting it to AUTO on the hot start even if you don't touch anything if it is physically set there.

rob10's post in Minimum hold down time when pressing keys (not a bug) was marked as the answer
I use 50 millisec on most, bumped to 75 or 100 in a few cases if I don't get it to register consistently.
If you use a UFC or keyboard you likely don't need to worry about this. If you are using something else to emulate button press, DCS won't register the really quick press (near instantaneous) that it may send and you'll get inconsistent presses, thus you need to add a "hold it down" time to get consistency.

rob10's post in User file was marked as the answer
You get there indirectly 🙂. Click on "DCS" in the upper left (that takes you to the main DCS page rather than the forums), then hover over the "DOWNLOADS" in the black bar on the main page (the same layout as you see on the user files page) and select "USER FILES" in the dropdown that pops up. Hope that answers what you're looking for.

rob10's post in Kneeboard cropped on Widescreen resolution was marked as the answer
ViewportHandling.lua
In the directory: \DCS World OpenBeta\Scripts\Aircrafts\_Common\Cockpit
You want the command at LINE 33: dedicated_viewport = {3910,2437,600,700} -- it will have "default...." rather than numbers in yours to start. The numbers here are what I use, but likely aren't much use to you.
This gets wiped on update, and I'm guessing doesn't pass IC if that matters to you.

rob10's post in F-16 not detecting anything was marked as the answer
Make sure you're binding and using the same version of SIM or GAME mode (i.e. if you're using SIM mode, make sure you have the bindings done in SIM not GAME mode).

rob10's post in MMB, Mouse 4 and Mouse 5 not bindable on the HyperX Pulsefire Dart. was marked as the answer
Assuming you are in the correct column (the one for the mouse), RIGHT click on the setting you want to bind and you'll get a dropdown that you should be able to pick the button from.

rob10's post in Hornet, TGP in Point track Mode. was marked as the answer
SCS LEFT will set the MAV to uncaged and slew to the TGP target. Make sure you have TDC depressed with TGP DDI active to designate the target. If it doesn't automatically uncage when you select the MAV DDI, use the cage/uncage button on your HOTAS to uncage it and it should automatically slew to target if it's within gimbal limits (if it's outside limits it will automatically cage). All of this assumes IR MAV. Laser MAV is very similar, but a few differences. Also note that you can't manually slew the MAV while you have a target designated (designated via WPDSG, targetting pod, etc).

rob10's post in Track recording bug? was marked as the answer
Do a search on "track". You'll find lots of posts. The short version is it's not a reliable way to record longer and/or more complex missions currently. ED would like to replace it, but it's not a high priority item currently.

rob10's post in F18 HMD circle marking wingman drifting was marked as the answer
It's because his position is updated based on datalink information provided from his plane to yours. And unfortunately the datalink updates are relatively slow IRL). So if you were both standing still it would be perfect. Because you are both moving and the position shown is the actual position he was at at time of last update it looks like the marker drifts and then jumps to current position on the next update.

rob10's post in Is there a DDI/AMPCD state chart? was marked as the answer
Not really. That's going to be a HUGE task as the basics are TAC and SUPT menu pages (easy enough) but after you select an item on there you're potentially going to have 3-4 levels of pages for some of buttons that you can press beyond that. For example, select the STORES page, then a loaded JDAM (which actually adds more confusion because the top OSB's change depending what weapons you have loaded), then JDAM DSPLY page, then MSN page. That's for pre-planned mode but if you're in TOO mode you get a totally different menu's. You're maybe better off to have it control the individual OSB's by # (i.e. OSB1, OSB2 etc) than trying to define all of the functions at least beyond just the TAC and SUPT pages.
And for your example, even selecting HSI page depends on whether you are currently in the TAC or SUPT page and I'm not aware of any way to consistently select one of those or determine which you are on (i.e. there is no button or command to specifically select TAC or SUPT, you have to press the menu button and it only swaps between the two so without knowing which one you're on you have no way to specify which one you want). EDITED TO ADD: this is really more of an issue if you happen to start on SUPT page. If you're in another page already and menu back it should start on TAC page.
