With the intercom changes to ground crew communication, I was wondering if anything has changed regarding talking to the boom operator?

I'm sure a lot of you have been repositioning your Helios CMSC, RWR, DigClock, UHF, etc after patch 1.1.0.9. Here is something I was doing tonight that help tremendously when roughing out the X/Y coords for each item. Essentially you just need to print screen with your Helios profile loaded and then paste that into ms paint: As you can see I was working on my digital clock here and the bottom left of paint gives you the correct monitor resolution coords of your cursor which you can then use to get your monitor exports in the general area with less reloads. Oh okay, so what is the procedure to adjust TGP brightness/contrast?

Hey all, I was wondering if someone could explain how to adjust the TGP/Mav gain in white/black hot modes? Also, is it possible to zoom a maverick in further than the China Hat FRWD short command? or are there only two levels of zoom on these missiles? Thanks in advance o7

Ohhhh, I see, these vids are all on clean frames. Thank you! It's so crazy that you really have to consider the flight dynamics at this scale. So pretty much whenever I am down to my GAU-8 rounds and have bled off some fuel I can really turn and burn, unleash the GAU, then RTB to get ready for the next round =)

I am assuming it is a flight system that I need to turn off but just cant figure it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

From what I have watched it seemed very close to the actual flight, from take off to landing. I have not had a chance to really get into the intricacies of Tacview, but both the .trk and .acmi replays looked accurate to me.

Just confirmed this. Worked perfectly but I did not use any time acceleration, just let the track play through and saved it as a different name when it was completed. Thanks!

Finally received my first Air Medal just a few moments ago! It was just a quick mission on easy, and most of the targets were taken out by friendlies, BUT I was able to utilize general purpose bombs, LGB's, Mavericks, and the GAU-8 to bag myself 5 kills. I also managed to execute one of my best landings. All the hog was missing when I returned her is weight from fuel/munitions! This is a great day in my virtual fighting career :pilotfly: (I know I'm a newb lol, I just had to brag.)

Sure, http://www.scsimulations.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=48 is where I started. DL Helios and start messing with the .lua files to get them correct for your resolution. It IS going to take some trial and error. A good tip is to use print screen & the x, y coords (bottom left) in paint to help you determine the correct positions! Let me know if you need any help, I would be glad to assist.

Most of them work on Gadroc's profile with a mouse. I am pretty sure you can program the ones that don't but I haven't learned the profile editor enough to do that yet. It seems pretty user friendly though. Thanks for the compliment! I owe this set up to duranv1, Gadroc, and my brother in law. I wouldn't have even gotten close to this without their knowledge!

That's a really good idea. I would still look into some screen protectors just for a safety net. You know whenever the drunkard friends show up they are going to HAVE to mess with your sim, with no regard to your $200+ monitor lol...

So the sticky velcro wouldn't destroy the lcd screen if I ever have to take them off. I really hope I never have to but you never know!

Well my secondary 26inch monitor is FINALLY complete. I am using Gadroc's Helios profile and borrowed/stole the idea of mounting the MFCDs directly to the screen from another user on youtube (duranv1). Used two iPad screen protectors and cut them to size with a hobby knife, then velcro to attach them to the protectors. I am QUITE pleased with the results! Sorry for crappy picture quality. I'm too poor to afford a camera now. Thanks DCS lol...

I am a rookie and have been playing/ setting up my system for 3 weeks. I feel more comfortable each day but I have a feeling even a real life A-10C pilot will tell you that you NEVER stop learning when it comes to flying combat aircraft.

Well, just used ALL of my print money from tuition to get this done. Finally had a reason to use the $50 we are charged every semester for printing lol. Not nearly as nice as some of the full color, heavy weight versions I have seen posted, but it gets the job done =)
