  1. And here is what you would see on the write up In the F700 (what we call it anyway) "TOP LEFT HUD SCREW LOOSE" Maintenance response "DEFER DUE HILARITY VALUE OF PILOTS OCD TENDANCIES"
  2. Every Dash 1 I've ever come across has been referred to as "the big blue sleeping pill". Not "good reading" lol.
  3. What about skeletal eagle wings. Might match the skeleton figure on the tail?
  4. I had a similar sounding issue where various info from my HUD would disappear. This was completely unrelated to any button pushes in game and turned out to be a graphics issue. It can be fixed by ctrl alt del (in windows 7) to the task manager select screen, and then hitting cancel to maximize the game again. This seems to reload the graphics and the numbers on the HUD will reappear. I'm unsure if this is the issue you are having but if so hope this method helps you too
  5. Hmmm edgy. Are you implying the mountains have a mild heroin addiction and very shifty eyes?
  6. You gotta let your Nav system finish aligning before you switch it to NAV mode and turn on the EAC. Look for T=4.0 0.8 and above INS NAV READY is flashing.
  7. Rob10 posted a great checklist on weapons that really helped me. It has a list of all the weapons at the start. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=73752
  8. I think I know your issue as I had the same problem. Are you sure you aren't using the "stick to trimmer control mode" button? If you go into the controls page and scroll all the way down to Trim you will see 5 options for trim left right down etc. Set these to a hat switch and you should be back laughing.
  9. Hey mate. I use the same stick and will be upgrading soon however it is easily doable without an upgrade. Here is what I did to become confident enough to start the campaigns. Run through all the tutorials. Some of them seem mundane at times but they are all necessary. After you have done one or two tutorials and start feeling swamped by the info, make a practice map with a few targets that can't shoot back (ie fuel trucks) and just consolidate what you learnt. My flatmate jumped in and did everything one after the other and as a result things still slip through the cracks. In doing this youll find out what keys you use most and can then bind the more common ones to your stick. Have a hunt round the forums and print off a Startup Checklist, Keyboard shortcuts checklist, and any other checklists you may find useful. They aid you heaps in the first few flights on your own. All in all mate there is one hell of a learning to curve to pilot this beast, however if my experiences so far are similar to other new Sim Goers, you will love and thoroughly enjoy the learning experience. EVEN with a standard keyboard and joystick. Plus you may finally find the excuse you need to upgrade some of your kit :p i know i did
  10. Hi all I was just going through some of my saved tracks and looking at them from multiple angles. I was just wondering if there was any way to rewind the track? And if not is there any Track recording software that does allow you to rewind? Thank in advance.
  11. You may be thinking of TrackIR. I just bought one. Now i can't do without it. http://www.naturalpoint.com/trackir/
  12. I am so impressed to learn that ED actually listen and interact with their customers to the point that we get what we want. I've played many games of many genres and never seen support like this. I've only been playing Warthog for a couple weeks but already I've converted four mates onto it, and keep trying to get others to buy it too. Great work ED. Patch looks like a great addition to an already brilliant sim
  13. Does anyone know if DCS plan to release new maps in the future with updates? Or if there are any available for download? Thanks in advance
  14. Thnks daniel I figured that out after playing around last night. I can now see the ppjoy column in game, however with the settings given in the guide I still get no head tracking. I still get the errpr when i attempt to start face api through facetrack and there doesn't seem to be a video feed going into facetrack? When the guide says install face API exactly what file does this refer to.
  15. Hi Ive recently bought a webcam logitech Pro 9000 and attempted to get FaceTrackNoIR set up. I am running the 64 bit version of the game so installed ppjoy as per the youtube video. When i disable test mode after installing it I can no longer run PPJoy up again and get the error "cannot open the ppjoy device driver. please install ppjoybus.sys first" Also I have installed FaceTrackNOIR, and the head tracking demo 6.2 to get the right IPP pack, however when i select start Face API in FaceTraceNoIR it crashes with "failed to initialize APIScope: Unspecified error" Im unsure if there problems are related but any insight into how to get ppjoy to work properly and how to finalize FaceTrack for my system would be hugely appreciated. Thanks
  16. Hi All I was recently watching a video of ExcessiveHeadspace on youtube (http://www.youtube.com/user/ExcessiveHeadspace#p/u/3/IOZ18GNPI-c) and noticed the way he was looking around the cockpit. Can any of you tell me what mod, hardware is used to achieve this? Thanks Heaps LankNZ
