  1. Thank you kind Sir, Works perfectly
  2. Good Evening fellow aviators. Has anyone managed to add a line to the "Special for Joystick" section for Gear Up/Gear Down yet? On my TM Warthog using the 2 position switches if a switch is up, gear comes up. Switch down, nothing. Switch back up, gear down and so on. Pretty sure it just needs a line in the txt doc similar to the speed brake line but I don't yet have the know how to add it myself.
  3. Just flew mission six and it worked fine for me. Some patience is required when lead drops his bombs as stated but it worked fine. **Spoiler** The units in the trees were right on the very edge of the tree line. I couldn't see them however so had to guess, reference the smoke.
  4. Wondering if anyone can help me. I can't for the life of me get past Mission 1 in 2.5. After the touch and go I can't get the downwind message to play no matter where I fly. I have watched videos and replicated their flight paths and alt/speed and still no joy. When i look at the triggers in the ME i can see that I am definitely flying inside the zone so I'm wondering if maybe something is off with the landing trigger just before that? Had a look around the forum but can't see anyone with a similar issue. This is more than likely me doing something wrong but just it case it isn't i thought I'd ask here. Tried 6 times this morning to complete it. Thanks in advance if anyone can help
  5. Autopilot is not yet implemented. When you look at the "missing featuers" post located here https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=196533, I would guess that the auto pilot will be added when they add the INS functionality. Without a working INS system the autopilot would have no way of knowing where to put the aircraft to achieve what the switches are asking it to do.
  6. That makes it even more epic :megalol: Replicate that same landing from that view in DCS: Huey and prove you flew it from that angle and not replayed a track and ill buy you a pony :D
  7. I have my curves set on 12. Watch the video on pick up. Once u know where the stick needs to be to get airborne vertically it makes the initial phase much easier. Once airborne use tiny tiny movements to preempt and negate movement. To be honest I think rudder pedals are a must. I'm using my G27 racing pedals and they helped vastly from trying to use a twist rudder. I don't have it mastered but can maintain a sustained hover this way for upwards of a minute. Then I get bored and end up crashing lol. The video was surprisingly helpful.
  8. To the inevitable masses who have issues with Rudder set up when using racing pedals I found this helpful post http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=80457
  9. What a gorgeous and wonderful sim. Excellent work Belsimtek. Had her fired up this morning and took her for a few laps. I didn't actually crash crash, however if I was to be employed in a Huey squadron I'm pretty sure I would go through a hell of a lot of Helo skids. Those things rip off very easy hahahaha
  10. Nope, everything is already part of DCS world. It only makes certain units flyable AFAIK
  11. Ok I found a fix. I downloaded the full version of 1.2.2 and installed that. Before doing this I deleted all my ED registry files and everything referring to ED in my Program Files. Upon a fresh install after that it all worked as per usual. Hopefully this helps someone out in the future
  12. There is no crash log. As soon as Black Shark loads it quits straight back out to the post mission screen. As soon as A10 loads the sim seems to function fine but the flight deck is missing textures, plane sits half in ground etc.
  13. I tried disabling all services and having no other programs running at startup to no avail. I am currently downloading the full 1.2.2 world install to try. I currently have the updated one from 1.2.1. Will post if I have any success
  14. Ok I had a quick look around but couldn't find any posts on this issue. Sorry if i missed it. These all were working about 6 months ago. I recently updated to DCS: World to 1.2.2 7575 and have been having an issue with the A:10C module and the Ka50 module. P-51 and Su25 work fine. When I boot up any mission in the Ka50 module, MP or SP it crashes and says DCS.exe stopped working. There is no crash log. I am running the latest patch module for this. When i boot up any mission in the A:10C module, MP or SP it load up but most of the A10 textures are missing and it is almost like I'm inside the seat. The wheels also sit a little under the ground and no friction is modeled so I skid round the tarmac like an ice skater. My friend is having the same issue with a older version of DCS World. I have run the auto updater and the repair tool to no avail. Can anyone help? I just want to fang round in that sweet chopper and pull the trigger while listening to Van Halen.
  15. When you settle on the runway make sure you pull the stick rear of center to lock that tail wheel. I was having the same issues as you after touchdown and pulling back on the stick does go against all instinct but once you do that you should manage to keep her straight. As long as you are below 90KTS of course.
  16. There is an option Permit Recover that needs to be checked. I would check that first
  17. Under controls you can set deadzones and curves for your joystick. Otherwise the actual joystick calibration is most likely done through windows.
  18. Sorry I can't hear you over the menu music. It's too awesome
  19. Wags, is your Track IR file for P51 any different to A10. The head movement in this video looked spot on. I'm having some difficulty mimicking it
  20. Switch on left lighting panel. There is a Position Flash switch and an Anti Coll switch from memory. Just have a play with all the lighting switches on that panel to familiarize yourself. That's the best way to learn IMO
  21. I've spent the last few days perusing this thread at work and have been generally shocked and ashamed at some of the disrespect shown towards the devs by a few people. I would assume that DCS being the product it is would have a following of mostly mature players however many posts on this topic remind of of forums from games like WoW. Sure voice your opinion, but at least keep it respectful. Lookin forward to learning the mustang ED. Keep up the fantastic work.
  22. You realise that an AIM-9 is an air to air weapon right? It will not engage ground targets. Set up a mission with a few enemy helos and you'll be able to send flaming telegraph poles their way in a heartbeat :p
