I have no problems destroying T-72 and T-80 with GAU-8 in patch 1.1.0.8. Remember this is a serious sim and not Battlefield. So you HAVE to execute the attack run properly as has been said before. You mist attack MBTs from behind and in a dive. Use PAC and first trigger stage to stabilize early, CCIP pipper just below MBT. I find it rather useful that the TGP diamomd and HUD TDC are hidden when below the pipper, so you can have visual on target. Then let the PAC fly the aircraft towards 0.7m indication and open fire. Short burst will destroy MBT if executed like above. Do not open fire to early. Do not attack from anywhere but behind. Use TGP to position yourself right. Then its a piece of cake. And dont slow down. Use the dive to build speed for quick getaway :-)

Hi there. My issue was caused by myself using wrong radio settings. Still had the intercom and HM Button active. After completely following WarriorX´s Radio guide....no more problems. Start radios after APU start and clicking slowly....

The freqs I use are set on the "Radio 1 VHF AM": texaco=150 arcsomething=140 I use the Warthog HOTAS Throttle Mike Switch Forward to call the Tankers The refueling port is set to "open". I play on full simulation settings for everything. I am flying so that the inner tanker engines are "touching" my HUD frame already. I am not at home right now, but now I remember a thing which I need to check when back in the game: Before taking off and locating and contacting the tankers, I changed my loadout on the ground using the intercom panel and the HotMike Button pushed. I forgot to set it back. May this cause failing VHF AM communications? *** EDIT **** OK, just read WarriorX´s Radio Tutorial. Great Read! Its on the last slide. The Intercom Ground Crew thing most probably caused my problem. Need to set it back to VHF. And push the radio buttons slowly. I am a speed-clicker :-) So I will try this again and hope I can suck up some Jetfuel :-D

Yes the TCN for tankers is Y even if mission editor or briefing tells you X. Found out by chance doing some refueling missions posted in this forum. But I never get the tankers to answer my calls on VHF. So no refueling yet :-(

Hi Guys, just want to contribute and give a quick feedback. 11.5 does not fix HDR flickering pink and white round edged boxes. My Setup: Sapphire 6950 MSI P67-D53 i5-2500 16GB RAM 3x ACER 22" TFT running ATI Eyefinity WIN 7 x64 Enterprise No good news unfortunately :-(
