It could be a fault of my PowerColor's cards but too many similar problems I saw on net. I have no idea what caused mine and haven't found solution. I gave up :(
-
Congratulations! Great work! Catch a rep :)

I bought nVidia GTX285 and problem has gone... I think I won't get back to ATI products again.

muell ! Besides you know what? I don't really like the way how we control the pilot after ejecting. Sorry to say that :).

Happy happy birthday! :yay:

Wow! Didn't know RACE ON is planned to be released on pc. I thought it's a RACE07 for the consoles! Great news! It will include US Muscles and STCC wich I haven't buy yet 'cuz in Poland I can only download it from Steam - there's no STCC DVD version to buy. Now with RACE ON and free GTR2convertion mod the sim will become ultimate racing sim as rFactor is now. I will only miss F1 here.

The big Ross 'The Boss" Brawn amazed me. Great car of Brawn team. It even looks fast while standing. Kudos goes to Jenson too. I've always believed he's a potentional champion. Maybe his time has come...

RACE07, GTR Evolution, STCC (these three can be combined into one) as well as other SIMBIN products are the best racing titles for pc. SIMBIN is preparing new Need For Speed edition now, called "NFS Shift". But still the best F1 sim is CTDP mods (F1 2005 and F1 2006) for rFactor.

Thank you all. Really appriciate your help. PSU things is black magic to me. I'll try testing games with lower resolution. I played 1920x1200'cuz my lcd has it as native res.

How to make a Video of your mission
VMFA117_Poko replied to Tnt Snipes's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
When the music track is too pompous you're right :D. Soundtrack should be a backround - not playing main role. You wrote about badly chosen music. It's still a game picture - not real. Music needs to fit. -

Music shouldn't be added. It is a main skeleton of your video. If you can't prepare a soundtrack by yourself pick one BEFORE you start editing. Music should build an atmosphere, attention in proper time, etc. -
Don't know. What does "active PFC" mean? I will quote exact spec:

Ok, my PSU is Tagan TG600-BZ. It has one main rail deviding on 2 rails: one supplies motherboard via 20+4pin connector and the other 4+4pin connected to motherboard near CPU. Additionaly there is 2 rails for SATA HDDs + 2 rails with 6pin connectors for PCI-Es. Also on PSU front there are 4 slots free.

I thought they are geeks. They had big glasses on the nose :D PSU is made by TAGAN but can't tell you more untill I get back home after work.

Remeber your problem Kuky. We spoke about it about half a year earlier when I planned to buy new pc. I was asking on the forum did I choosed proper parts for a rig before buying. You said I should think about bigger PSU if I go for CF setup. That is why I said in store I want 1000W PSU :).
-
Yeah, I know... 100 degress is reached only in FurMark. In games top temp was 85-90 degrees. I just cant believe both cards have same problem and I don't get any graphic disstortions . This is probably shi**y PowerColor product... I need to give back them to the store and hope those pros will take them. Remeber, I had to ripp off the stickies from heatsink case 'cuz they unwrapped under heat. Yes, Kuky I always clean up old drivers and registry. Same thing happened after full format.

Hi guys. I did not build my rig by myself. I've only chosen elements. The rig was built by proffesionals (at least they should be) at (work)shop. And yes, I considered I have too small power supply but when I said in shop "I want 1000W PSU" they laught and said that this 600W Tagan is more than enough for these two power saving Radeons and power saving E8500. And indeed brochures says that my two Radeons in CF needs 550W, so maybe 600W is not much more than enough but minimum. However, remember I didn't overclocked anything and my rig worked fine for 5 months til I installed cat9.1. Isn't it strange? I did not mess in BIOS before the problems. PSU is connected to motherboard via 24pin plug and 4pin plug with each gcard. My Radeons temps at idle are 57 degrees (showing in CCC override page). I used FurMark to stress the gcards and this program shows 100 degrees after 20 min of testing. Games crash after about 20 minutes too. I will borrow older nVidia from friend and will check if it works ok.

My VGA cards are PowerColor HD4850. Their fan/heatsink combo doesn't blow hot air out but into the case (Cooler Master Stacker) wich is really airy. I have additional fans inside of the case too. I did test with both cards inside, one, then the other. Same temperatures under FurMark Stability test (1920x1200 and MSAA x0). I tried Fault-Safe and Optimised BIOS settings and now I only increased my RAM voltage to 2.24V, cuz as I chcecked default was too low. I don't have any graphic disstortions - just crashes to desktop after while or longer. Error logs always point on ATI drivers or DirectX dlls. I have never overclocked anything and problems started about 2 months ago after installing 9.1 catalyst.
-
Yes, I know. I can prepare a scramble eggs on it. No wonder games crashes after 20 minutes of play... Interesting thing is it didn't happen before installing 9.1 catalyst. Now both cards reach such temperatures even when I rolled back to earlier catalyst. Well done ATI! You are real Websters! Bravo!
-
No. This happens also in GTAIV when I don't use TIR. I did stability test with FurMark and with GPU fan set to 100% I get 100 degrees of Celsius on GPUin less than 20 minutes.
-
I did tests for couple days, changing voltage on ram, testing with both sticks of ram, unplugging one stick, then changing them, testing with crossfire on and off, testing with catalyst a.i. on and off, switching between every possible driver, testing with only one card and with the other, both, flashing bios, testing on vista64, xp32, switching between SATAs ports, doing total format and installing fresh vista64, testing CPU with no problem found... ...and I still have atiumdag.dll, atikmdag.dll (most common) and other (dxrenderer.dll) errors with every new game. Most probably it's ATI issue. I start saving money for nVidia card and will never come back to Radeon. Decision made. Houk! Why? Read about atiumdag.dll error on web, how many people have it. Only one solution you'll find - switching to 8.12 catalyst package. But it doesn't solve my problem. It is almost impossible to have both cards broken. ATI just can not make proper drivers and their CrossFireX technology is pointless.

So how's the world in black shark?
VMFA117_Poko replied to Ernohauki's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
If someone puts living world before realistic modelling of flight dynamics or any aircraft system I say go for GTAIV - you can fly a chopper there too. Flight simmers have little different demands than other gamers. Remember Flanker 1.0? It was the time when sims became having textured objects but Flanker had pure vector graphic and it was best sim for many ppl. Eyecandy was not a point in that case. -

VMFA117_Poko replied to Ernohauki's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
I'll be honest. If you look for hyperrealistic (really hyper) graphic, unfortunatelly i must dissapoint you. You won't find any sim or game in the market, hell, not even in military simulations with such a graphic yet. But overall DCS:BS is the best heli simulator - no doubt about it. How good is eyecandy sim without well modelled flight dynamics? -
Open the "HEAD" preview window. Take a look if TIR tracks your movement. You can have pause on too (go to hotkeys and check it if it's enabled and toggle). Also, once I had to hit the game updates three times until i got it working.

Yes, I know. I used GSATA when problems occured. When I was started to look for solution I flashed BIOS and set new RAID0 from the very beginning using Intel ICH9R. Thanks, I read this post but forgot about it.
