  1. The problem with the plastic gimbal was more with the fact that the ball wear over time having caused problem of lock on axis for some user. I agree thread too, but well i don^t change the stick really offtly. I don't think that they keep the sambe ball design is a problem when looking that all the friction is on the springs now. Price is a bit high i think as it is now, but looking really to it. The base should fix most of the problem of the actual base. I wait on actual reviews of it
  2. I have a A10C Grips+base ( no throttle ) that i could sell. But it is brand new, only 4 months old. in box. Switzerland
  3. The only one who will show is the "ON" when you press the button for activate tacan ( it will then show on HSI ). In caucase map it is allways X for tacan. Y can be shown in map like Syria, so just dont mind about it enter the number and it is all good. Sometimes the tutorials are a bit confusing.
  4. When you push TCN button on the UFC, you have different texts populated on the right side X and Y are the last lines, you have 2 points side of it who indicate X or Y are selected. default it is X. After enter the Tacan numbers > Enter on UFC > press ON on the UFC ( right button) for enable the TACAN ( ON Appears side of Tacan numbers ) A good practice when learning with the tutorials is to get the CHUCK Guide and use it as reference ( PDF ). https://chucksguides.com/aircraft/dcs/fa-18c/, It is easy sometimes to miss a step. You can too at same time load guide on youtube. pause inside the game watch how then come back.
  5. Can't find anything on the subject right now, I remember have read something similar by the past, but im no sure it was about the SLAM-ER, could be french missiles. In case the plane is destroyed, an other plane can take the control. Really not sure. The only reference we got is it can ofc be controlled by the WSO or the pilot and this can be only a reference to this.
  6. Actually the difference is in the weight of the F variant, AGM-65B/D/H, 125 pounds (56.25 kilograms), AGM-65E/F/G/K, 300 pounds (135 kilograms)+ delayed-fuse penetrator. This made the difference of 2 to 3 Mav D can be put on an F15- F16-A10 Air force and only one by pylon of the F18C of the Navy . The point is for ships you want a larger warhead and more penetratrion. I don't think the IR sensors have much difference between both variant if only some few.
  7. In general when this happend i will just cage uncage it. ( at the moment the lock is on Tpod ). and if really this don^t do, redesignate on the Tpod ) Anyway, the multi-thread beta as reported have some bugs with some sensors, i have got some errratic results going.
  8. if you have change your monitor lately just check in the TrackIR profile, try create a new and check how it is working inside the app of TrackIR ( you have different screens for see how it is working )
  9. If you want i can cross the street here and go talk directly to them about you think, their office is just at 5 minute of my home In Lausanne Switzerland.
  10. Coming from A10 and a lot of practice with it, i really like more the Lightning, but honestly i think it is just personal preferences. As for contradict a bit myself, i can easely take down 4 moving target using the Tpod > Mav screen lock SOI > lock on Tpod again, but there's never any warranty to it, im just used to this procedure i think it is realistic this way. There's a good benefit, let say you can't shot or you miss, you still got the target locked in the Tpod, making things easy on the second pass. if you are unsure the Mav have lock on the right target, cage and uncage help. Not moving target but youi understand the idea: nullnull
  11. Let's imagine it dont be written as "early access". and say final so every little modification up will come as update, DLC or whatever ( dont paid update ) As all games do, you will like it better ? I think you put too much weight in the " early access phrase". My humble opinion
  12. I know this feeling. This is why i was so much in love with the A10... haha. it was really when the A10 just have been released from DCS, and honestly i don^t know if it was really realist, but it was just so much easy to take down a 8 units convoy with AGM. and whatch them hit one by one. and a little CBU 107 for for finish ?
  13. Ground moving target are not forcibly an easy task, never will be. First as i see in your mention, it need be tried sometimes 2-3-5 times for get the acquisition on the target you want, let say the first tank of a 4 convoy. at really far distance i generaly use the GMT radar for lock, make it designate the target, and for sure it will never be the first tank you want for stop the convoy but you have now a moving designation point. the second part is slew the lighting pod to the this designation. move on and find the first tank. depending the distance you will need maybe try 2-3 times for get it. as the radar is the designation point ( at contrario of a fixed waypoint (wupload) ), you can let it revert if you are not fast enough for move the TDC for slew ( sometimes it take the position of the "old designation" point as it is still in the GMT radar, but as it is still a moving point in the convoy, it is easy to try again lock your target. I have see the same thing as you describe about the "box" size who seems totally off sometimes ( really large or really too small for pick the tank ). The map marianas is a good example of how bad it can come when try pick up 4 target in a row with AGM in a coast road with cars, parking lot, and house all around the road. but im pretty sure it is realist, tpod are not a magic wand.
  14. For what i have understand you are using the offset and tdc is set as realistic ( depress for move ), meaning it redisgnate the target as you move the offset im just not sure the Mav cross should follow as it do. I let more
