  1. I found that I can't start the APU after cranking it. I've looked more into it and recorded a track. First I start the APU just fine, then shut it down, then start it again. After that, i shut it down and then try to crank it with the fuel shut off. It wont start normally after that. It looks like it tries but doesn't manage. Am I doing something wrong? mi8_apu.trk

  3. I was trying to do some VOR navigation on the UH-1, and stumbled upon a strange bug. In real life, VORs (unlike NDBs) are line-of-sight dependant. If there is a hill, a large building or any other obstacle between the VOR station and the receiver, you won't receive the VOR signal. It looks like in DCS that behavior is reversed. If you have line of sight with the station, you won't receive the signal, but if you move behind a mountain, you receive it just fine.

  5. Multirole aircraft like the F-15E, F-16, F/A-18, Su-30 and so on have radars capable of searching for both air and ground targets. Does the AI actually use the radar to search for ground targets? I've done some tests and I'm not sure of it. IR Maverick-like missiles and targeting pods DO increase the AI's detection distance however.
