Just wondering how those of you who use the Trackir 3 pro or 4 pro like the system with lockon and if you feel it is worth the price for the imersion factor of the sim. Thanks oh, and is it a lot of hassle to get it to work right with the sim or is it plug and play?

concerning the sound mods, is there any real PC performance difference between the WAV files and the OGG files? Seems that ZZZ space addon I have is in WAV. The Original files and also the Frazers files are OGG. I noticed on one attempt to install Frazers sounds (before I figured out how to install it correctly), I ended up with a effects folder with both WAV and OGG files in it and lockon seemed to use only the WAV (zzzspace) files even though the OGG files were right there with the same file names. I was thinking of picking out some of each set and making a custom set of my own because both have good stuff. I like the Frazers sonic boom and some of the other ones over zzz. Just curious as to why lockon picked the wav over the ogg files and is there any performance difference for the cpu etc. Thanks

new trees in Black Shark I found this pic of some new type trees for lomac Black Shark (i think it was on lockonfies.com which is down right now). only reason I have the pic is because i had e-mailed to my brother and found it in my sent messages. I love the tree mod, its awesome. I wonder if there will be any conflict with this new stye "unreal engine" trees. Well crap, that didnt come out. I'll try to figure out how to get the pic on here couldnt figure it out. maybe someone else has seen the pic on another site and can post it. It looks very cool. really look ing forward to 1.2 Black Shark

Thanks for the links. Yeah, those aerobatics guys are really good. I havent really practiced it much but i have a hard time just flying next to another jet without being all over the place.

So apoligize for misunderstanding the tone of your reply, but I hope you can see why I said what I said.

Love your movies. That Tomcat Tribute is awesome, damn near shed a tear. Also liked your preview of The Black Sea Operations, comes off just like a preview of a bigtime Hollywood film. You really do a great job bringing out the best of Lock On. Thanks for the time you put in. :icon_supe

First, Thanks for the reply. Yes I did think of (and do) the left click and follow up on the index.htm file which was basicly a slim down version of the download page with no additional info concerning site problems etc. Is the down load video on the lock-on.ru site (Black Shark: Free Flight) the same video as the Promo release on the link you supplied? I was under the impression that there were two completely different videos, else why would people from this site post links to a different site for the same video found here? PS, What fourm did you technically recomend that I post this question in since its not technically a bug, oh thats right, none. So technically, your entire post was overall negative, condesending, and useless. but thanks anyway for the effort. A simple "the lock-ru download page is broken but here is a link for what you want." would have been fine if thats what you have come to understand.

(also posted on bug fourm but no replies) When I click on the download to the Black Shark video (or any of the others), a download box opens and it just wants to download something called "index.htm" I let it DL once (took it about .5 seconds) Nothing there. Didn't get to go this year. My "relative" that works there was inside when they did the sonic boom so not sure what type of plane they used. He also made similar comments about the shuttle re-entry double boom. He works with the F-22, but then comes all the stuff he cant talk about. He just says "maybe one day, when its not top secret any more" when I ask him stuff. I dont guess I would do it any different. Somehow made a double post when i edited my last post. Sorry

just an update for fun. Not long before announcement of operational status of the F-22, there were three rounds of simulated combat at/around Nellis AVB. Comming straigt from one of the F-22 pilots, to my relative, to me, now to you. Four F-22's against a mix 20 (twenty) F-15's and F-16's. All three rounds ended up 20-0 in favor of the Raptors. The 15 & 16 pilots were some of the best, and they all reported the same thing, "we never even knew they were there". As far a sams go, the same pilot said "we get them evey time, they never get a lock on us" ( j-dam ) The weapon release system "throws" the bomb or missle out of the wepons bay so the doors can close again very quickly to reduce radar sig. The raptor does what it is designed to do better than anything else on the planet at this time. I wouldnt want to be in the air or around a sam site on the enemy side. Edwards AFB airshow is at the end of October each year if you want to see the Raptor in action. They start the show with a sonic boom.
