ok, thanks for the reply. comparing the two meinit files shows to be about 1600 lines difference in total number of lines. comparing over 22 thousand lines manually is scary. Ill keep searching the forms for the changed files. Most of the views and lod changes were made in the view and server.lua files which are listed in the tweak readme. Im not sure what could have been done to make such a difference the meinit files.

I would say (guess) that it is possible, but the red side hasnt been able to do that in the past with the current links with awacs or other fighters so i doubt they would be able to do it now with even better technology. At least we dont know that they have ever succeeded. Scary thought for either side to have that kind of advantage. -
can i use notepad++ to merge two meinit.xml files? for example the FPS tweak for 1.12a and the Supermod10 by Britgliderpilot both have replacement meinit files so one will overwite the other. If not merge then a search and compare function to isolate the changes compared to the original 1.12a meinit file. Then i can get everything into one file.

Britgliderpilot, I have a question. I need to find a way to merge two meinit files. When I install the FPS tweak for 1.12a, it replaces the meinit file of your Supermod10 install, (or visa versa if i install the FPS first). Is there a way to do this as apposed to comparing line by line the meinit files and mixing them that way? If there is not a way or program that can merge the two, then I could add or change the lines myself if you could tell me the what goes where part. Thanks for any advice.

Just wanted to say thanks and great job for putting together the different video training files for the lomac community. I really have learned a lot from watching your videos of the mission editor and the Alamo vs Amraam, I know you have put a lot of time and effort into your work. I have two questions to ask. First, is there a warning indicator in the F-15 which gives an idea of incoming missile distance (by radar strength) like the counter clockwise ring of lights in the Mig and SU? Second, have you done a video (or have plans to) of the F-15 systems and how to defeat the Migs missiles, etc.? After watching the Alamo vs Amraam video, I just feel like I'm target practice for the Russians in my F-15 and I would like to be able to learn how to win the battle in the 15. Thanks again for all that you have done.

Help needed with using multiple skins meinit.xml and

When you talk of different parts of the skins being there and some not it makes me think of something i ran into with the F-15 skins which im sure applies to the other aircraft also. Hope this is not elementry to you, you may be way beyond this, but here it is anyway. I found the GU_LOD_EN fix in my downloaded addons folder. I was wondering if it was ok to use in patch 1.12a or if by chance it is the same thing that was part of patch 1.11, and then already installed in my 1.12a patched lock on? Thanks for any info.

Well if we cant do it now for all planes, maybe the devs could add a few extra slots to all planes in a future patch. It would be cool to have multiple skins of the same type plane in the air at once.

Does anyone know of a way to modify the blast radius, power, and explosion (graphics part) of bombs. Specificly the AGM 86 cruise missile carried by the B-52. I would really like to nuke a base or at least set the whole base on fire from one AGM 86. Surely there are some files that can be tweeked somewhere to do this. My fourm searches came back with nothing. thanks.

I love it. The Raptor story that is. One more thing to add to the story. Durring testing at Red FLag, 4 Raptors took on a mix of 20 F-15s and F-16s, in the same set up as described above with the fight-refuel three times, with the Raptors score 60 kills to 0. Those pilots also said "we never even saw them" The SAMs were also consistantly destroyed without ever locking the F-22s. -

Well, I was able to extract your .exe files and install them manually except for the meinit file. I didnt try to run lock on with the meinit file you had mainly because it looks completely different from the 1.11 version. Looks like they made a lot of changes in the way stuff is categorized in that file. I even went to the link for the high res skin you gave and found on one of the pages of that thread some instructions on how to alter the meinit file to support the F-111. But then again, the differences in the two me files are beyond my abilities.

Awesome. I also tried to install into 1.11 and it didnt take. I know you didnt design it for that but is there a way to make it work for newer versions (1.11 and 1.12a). Maybe even a modman 5 pack would be cool. Thanks for your work on this mod. Hope there is a way thats not a lot of extra work for you.

I have had lock on since day one and have never played on line but i have been thinking a lot about it lately. I have a few questions first: 1. Which program do i use to play online: (hyper lobby or what) 2. is patch 1.12 and 1.12a the same thing and will I need that to play online. 3. will my modman skins still work online. 4. anything else i should know to get online play to work. Thanks for help, Mark

Not much of a SU fan myself, but this demo was impressive I must admit. If he can do that in a dog fight, I would not want to tangle with him up close.

thanks for the replies. now im really excited about getting it. I guess ill get the 4 pro. Looks like with black shark, there will be use of all six axis of the trackir 4 system. I wonder if that is just for the copter or if it applies to all of the flyables. either way, i think it will be awesome.
