Anyone/everyone, I am currently looking to upgrade my existing Rig, See signature below. I would warmly welcome any suggestions on where to start in relation to known Bottlenecks in DCS and Lock on in particular. I am going to be flying FC3 and A10C primarily but I think the two are really the same in terms of optimizing components. So come on you wonderfully whacky DCS Gearheads, let me know where you think my hard earned $$$ will do the most good. I find it very difficult to bug multiple targets in TWS when they are flying close formations, any ideas?

So I've been out of the LOMAC Game for quite awhile and am admittedly "Rusty" to say the least. I really like the interactive training missions from Original LOMAC, Now it seems they are just poor quality videos ported over to FC3. Can we still use those missions from FC2?

Yup same for me. select mission goes to small splash screen, HD has no activity for 3 minutes than resumes to load screen. Thereafter its normal load time

I just tried the new version with Win7 64bit and it works very well, no freeze ups but I do get some graphics tearing during movement, dont know if its related to using ftnoir

Just tried this with a cheap 1.3mp webcam and it works at least as well as my trakir4, just a couple tweaks to the curves and i think it will be better than trakir5! this is the trakir killer !

alternately you could use a Screen Grabber program or print screen to capture your control configs while in the GUI screen :music_whistling: (I have personally tried to import saved controller config lua. files into different Betas and seen the mess it makes, BTW)

you cannot use an .rar file with the new saitek software must be a .pro ext.

I also Had these problems with my X-52, Mainly not lighting the buttons every now and then. Since I bought it online returns would have been a hassle so I disaasembled The top of the unit and found a weak solder joint to the top buttons on the joystick, I resoldered it and alll is well! If you bought it locally, however, it would make FAR more sense to return it to Fry's and exchange it for another new one. They are great sticks!

Thanks Dragon, I appreciate the feedback. I know I need to get the memory the motherboard supports my thought was: in deciding which board to get what memory support would be preferable for Black Shark. Obviously the game is CPU dependent and probably Caches loads of game data to the RAM So I would think speed was an issue. My question is to what degree my spending $100.00 more for a board that supports 1333mhz vs 800mhz factor in to a performance increase. I think this is a great forum for this question due to the volume of dedicated players viewing it at anytime, BTW.

Can I get some thoughts on the best Memory types to Use? I am purchasing a new MoBo and I see DDR2@ 800, 1066, 1200,1333....:wacko: Obviously I guess higher is better but to what degree does it factor into our game performance?

Go into Options/Gameplay menu and change "Cockpit Language". This allows several of the cockpit systems to be displayed with either Cyrillic or English text. In regards to the Ka-50, this will allow English to be displayed on the ABRIS, EKRAN, and cockpit labeling when set to English from the drop down list. "Measurement Units". Using the drop down menu, you may select either Imperial or Metric. This selection will determine the units of measurement used in the Mission Editor. "Editor Icon Style". When placing units and points on the map using the mission editor, you can either use western-style military icons or Russian-style. Well I have joined you lesions of trakir heads! :thumbup: I just got my 4 Pro with the pro headset tracker and it shows up in black shark axis controls but doesnt work do I need to disable something like my x52 hat views?
