  1. If you haven't done so already, try setting your color depth to 32 bit in game rather than 16 bit. That fixed the clouds with my GeForce 6800. Didn't have this issue with my old ATI card.
  2. Make sure you have set a fairly generous deaband in your rudder, and a little in your roll axis.
  3. Thanks guys! Let's first get throught the practice with no problems, then I can breath a sigh of relief - lol
  4. Hi All I have finished the VFAT show mod that we will be using for the practice show so that you can see all the skins You must use Loman 2.1 Patched to install and uninstall. Loman 5 WILL NOT WORK. Here's the link to the mod: http://www.thevirtualblueangels.com/kato/VFAT_Airshow_Pack_use_Loman21_Patched_ONLY.zip Here's the link to Loman 2.1 Final for people who need it: http://www.thevirtualblueangels.com/kato/LoMan21Final.zip Here's the Loman 2.1 Patch for Lock on 1.1: http://www.thevirtualblueangels.com/kato/LoManUnofficialPatch.zip
  5. We read in the "MP flaps" thread that you have fixed this for the SFM - The VBA's and our spectators really appreciate you and your team responding to this so quickly, and helping to make this great sim even better!! Thank you again! :-)
  6. Han We very much appreciate your fast response to the "Can't see the half flaps position with multiplayer F-15's" request, and for fixing the MP takeoff shake for the SFM. Thank you so much! We also understand your desire to make the simulator as realistic as possible, hence the fix you have implemented to get rid of the half flaps position on the F-15. However, many of us spend much more time than our wives would like flying modifications to the original game such as the Virtual Blue Angels and the Virtual Thunderbirds mods. As you know, the Virtual Blue Angels use the F-15 flight model and cockpit with the F-18 geometry model and skin to fly our airshows (see the screenshots I posted a few weeks ago in the screenshots section of the Lockon.ru site). The F-18 does have a half flap position. We use half flaps for 2 reasons: 1) The real Blue Angels use half flaps during their airshows 2) When the flaps are fully up, the F-15 flight model in Lock On creates pitch oscillations which are extremely difficult to trim out even in level flight during tight formations. The half flap setting goes a long way to reduce these oscillations. (I believe this characteristic has been the subject of multiple threads in the Ubisoft Lock On forums over the last 2 years). Our original request was to be able to see the half flaps position on multiplayer F-15/F-18 aircraft just like we could in all the previous versions until patch 1.11, rather than remove the ability to select half flaps at all. We would be most grateful if you could reconsider your decision, and reinstate the half flaps position for the F-15 (and make it visible on the multiplayer aircraft as it was before patch 1.11). Your customers who desire maximum reality with the F-15 could still select either full flaps or flaps up (bypassing the half flap position by using "Shift-F" or "Ctrl_F" respectively). The aerobatic teams who need the half flaps position for F-18's and F-16's would also be able to continue to use Lock On as their simulator of choice. Please see this thread comparing the real Blue Angels at half flaps, and the VBA's Jets 1, 2, and 4 with the half flap setting selected, but with the 1.11 patch showing them at full flaps: http://www.thevirtualblueangels.com/forums/forum_posts.asp?TID=169&PN=1 Thanks in advance for your consideration of our request.
  7. Just to make it official on this thread, here are the details for the Virtual Blue Angels: 1. The Virtual Blue Angels 2. 4 x F/A-18A, 1 x C-130 3. 37 minutes 4. Sat Nov 19th 5. Realistic flight, No G effects, Padlock enabled, Unlimited Fuel, External views enabled 6. Having spoken to JaBoG32_Chrissi, I'm going to create one VFAT mod for all of the teams / demo pilots (and the spectators) so we don't have to keep swapping skins after the show has started - I'll contact all the participants soon for your skins. Cya there!
  8. Han - Thanks for the reply So my obvious next question is ... when do we get an AFM for the F-15? (The Virtual Blue Angels use the F-15 flight model because it is the closest we can get to simulating the F/A-18A). ...and assuming that's not going to be in the near future, does that mean there will be no fix for the Multiplayer jump at takeoff? Thanks again
  9. Hi Great job with the multiplayer improvements in patch 1.11 - it makes for much smoother flying when in tight formation during our Virtual Blue Angels flights. However, one aspect that has progressively been getting worse, is the takeoff transition from the runway to flight. In Lock On 1.02 the transition was totally smooth, and a non event. In Flaming Cliffs 1.1 a slight jump between players was introduced when the wheels leave the runway. In Flaming Cliffs 1.11 the jump is greatly magnified, and apart from being very offputting to the pilots, it ruins the movie footage. We are working on our 2nd movie, but won't be able to include the takeoff run due to this big jump. I have put together a short video clip to illustrate the problem: Thanks in advance for considering our request for a hotfix.
