No I haven't, I have the Steam version of the game and I kinda thought it would update it by itself when the patch is available?

Hi, Was just wondering, is the BS2 to blame or what has happened since I cannot see that many multiplayer games in A-10C world server anymore. Yesterday at primetime there was none, today there's exactly one and this has been the case for some time now. Does the new BS2 patch remove compatibility from both games or what?

That would explain a lot, can anyone confirm this?

As the title states, Ground Crew Missing In Airport. I made a mission where we were supposed to start with an empty payload, land on an airstrip for refuel and arming (storyline not important here), but try as we might, we couldn't reach ground crew. We had the radio on INT & correct frequency and the plane was standing in where they usually start and everything was supposed to be as it is. Alas, nothing. It was like we had landed on the same airport as in The Langoliers. However on the next attempt, suddenly they were there and we got our juice and firecrackers. What we did differently, I have absolutely no idea. My wish: Make it more clear where to park the plane to reach ground crew if it is that precise. e.g. some (optional) message that states 'Ground crew available if you park here.'. Thank you. PS. I don't have a track to post, and this was most likely TPEBTCAC*-issue, but still it would be a nice feature. * The Problem Exists Between The Chair And Controller

Thank you for considering this. However, Linux would produce a ton more of FFA-servers (imho) since it's easy to install and maintain remotely. Please please, or atleast make it runnable with wine (or how many headless servers in public farms have you seen running windows compared to any other OS?).

More funding = more staff = more time in manhours. Of course you can't just put an ad to the paper, grab Ken the Coder off the street and tell him to make this happen. It would just be encouraging to know that something like this is coming someday. And please don't take my message as an offensive one. I absolutely love the fact that you already provide a centralized multiplayer hub that has worked just fine for what it is - it's just that games like this which are this concentrated around dedicated people (who create their own close communities to play together) should deserve a dedicated server software.

Oh bugger, you're right. There's no View CD Key-option there. As Short Round said in Indiana Jones: "Not very funny." Let's hope this gets fixed somehow.

1. Can I remove BS I've installed via Steam, then download it again from your site and install it with my cd-key, buy BS2 and go from there. I would like to have it via steam but I'll go content over convenience. 2. Could you please add PayPal to your payment system? Thank you.

I'll keep it short: Making DCS (and multiplayer with a central server) happen clearly states that the skills and tools are there, what's missing is the will (or funding).
-
I beg to differ. As you said, "I am pretty sure" - we don't know. However TCP/IP-stack is quite universal, and setting up a hub that replicates data throughout clients and manages the traffic is very simple to make, atleast if compared to the complexity of the DCS Simulator. They already have the network code and algorithms to handle multiple aircrafts on different computers on the same sky. Making one headless server to manage them is only a small port away. I don't think A-10C is coded with .NET, Basic or ActiveX.

A virtualized windows takes unnecessary space, memory and cpu. Why build a system to run another system? You can just make a software that runs on Linux which is a vast majority of headless servers out there. A server software that either has a text console or a small http service running where you can select the map and manage players. It's much more compact, a gazillion times faster and gabillion times easier to manage than a virtualized windows.

Please give us linux dedicated server and I'll keep one FFA hosted 24/7 in a heartbeat.

Hear hear. I would also like to see a dedicated linux server for DCS games. I triple dare anyone to come up with a decent reason why one shouldn't be possible (meaning copy-protections and such). Clients are authenticated anyways, and if you have a headless multiplayer that also verifies its integrity from eagle servers then everything is solved. If nothing else make it a binary release for different platforms with static libraries. Hosting a multiplayer takes resources and always needs to have somebody setting it up and everything hinges on his connection and timeframe. Giving the opportunity to host games dedicated on some random server in the midst of the internet would dramatically increase the amount of multiplayer action and would help develop the community. Please, developers, make this happen.

Thank you :). It's so difficult to search for some functionality when it's hidden behind Y.A.A. (Yet Another Acronym) and the glossary is not sticking in my teflon brain.

Is there a way (other than lasing a target) to send a target to another player in multiplayer? We had a situation where my friend was coming back from re-arming and I was limping back home - I had my TGP pointed to a target but didn't have anything to fire with and I had already taken some damage so I couldn't stick around. So, would there had been any way for me to pass the coords of my SPI to him?
-
You were absolutely correct. My CH Throttle Pro's joystick was assigned to rudder and that caused the havoc. Thank you very much :).

Actually, now it worked. The tutorial guided me to use china hat forward to switch to the narrow view, but in that view the TMS wouldn't respond. When I zoomed out, TMS started to work again. Is that supposed to happen?
-
Hi, I'm having a small trouble with the TMS switch. When I drop bombs with CCIP/CCRP in the unguided bombs training scenario it works just fine. But when I'm trying the TGP training tutorial, and after it tells me to slave all sensors to SPI, slew over the target (which all go well) and switch over to area/point tracking mode with TMS, the TMS won't do anything. I've checked the mapping in options multiple times and it is correctly set up and work on other trainings. When I look at the virtual stick while clicking the TMS on my joystick, the TMS switch moves accordingly to what I'm pressing as it should. What am I doing wrong here? It won't change tracking mode, it's not doing anything (yes, the right MFCD/TGP is SOI). The narrator won't continue and nothing happens after that point.

Hi, I have an odd problem with DCS: A-10C input. When I'm flying normally either a mission or training, and when I try to climb/dive and pull/push the stick all the way, the plane won't respond. When I look at the virtual stick in the cockpit, it returns to the middle when my joystick is pushed/pulled far enough. X-axis works normally. I've tried different joysticks, and the problem persists. I've checked the calibration program and it shows the axis correctly. When I move the joystick, the calibration cross shows it as it should be. I've tried to add deadzones from the profiler but it doesn't help. If I move the joystick just slightly, the plane responds correctly, but the instant I move it way up or down, the plane stops diving or climbing and the virtual stick moves back to the centre until I slightly move the joystick back a bit. Is this a game feature/safety (and how do I turn it off) or what the heck is going on or am I just stupid. Any suggestions? Thank you.
