You don't need Steam. Just go visit the guys at Giant Bomb and do a live look at the stuff. Good word of mouth there.

I would like to join your group, as long as expectations are low. I spend more time doing cartwheels in the P-51D than actually flying (not purposefully, lol). I will try and get set up next week as I'm away from home this week, but looking forward to it!

I can't believe this would be more niche than all that train sim crap they keep releasing on there. I'm glad I didn't get the Steam version now, hopefully this doesn't end up happening to A-10C.

Haha I feel the same way. Everytime I think about getting one of the Saitek I just think that I'd rather save that money towards a Warthog. I think I'm gonna ride it out with my Logitech until I've put aside enough for the Warthog.

I was thinking about the X52 or the HOTAS Warthog, depending how long I can stand this Logitech Extreme 3D Pro. Hopefully I can stick to my ramen diet and get the Warthog though, it looks pretty sweet!

I've been lurking on the forums for about a month now myself. I'm pretty much a complete sim noob myself with only a brief time with the Microsoft Flight Sim X. I'm still not very good and a lot of the terminology that's thrown around on the boards here goes over my head, but there are a ton of interesting things to learn. This has been a great sim to jump into though, the tutorials have been great! I've gotten so into it that I picked up a trackIR and DCS: Black Shark, I just wish that sim had the interactive tutorials as well. Next stop is a better flight stick and my social life it seems.
