  1. Hi That's appreciated P1KW, thanks. Although I tested it and it didn't work. But still... thanks for the info.
  2. Seems nobody knows or wants to answer. I spent some time experimenting and found that the trees do excessively allow the enemy to engage you. Flying low with many trees between you and the attacker puts the player at a huge disadvantage. (Death always)
  3. I'll use that as a work-around for now, thanks. Still, it would be much better if they just engaged from formation and I could move us around that way. The other thing is, that the wingman "evasive" procedure is a suicide run. They don't know that if we're low to the ground behind a ridge we can just drop a few meters and be safe. Typically I survive the mission and all my wingmen die - why? Because they don't "do as I do".
  4. Is it possible to tell my wingmen to engage freely but stay in formation? (Relatively) I want to be able to control their positions very carefully because even with the "Hold" command they move too much. I often can find a spot where with a little flares or even "duck down/pop up" maneuvering can keep us safe from SAM/AA fire. But then they won't engage. If I want them to engage, even with a hold order, I have to accept that they're going to move around and they will die. They always always die as soon as they leave formation. :)
  5. I agree that they shouldn't be able to see you when you have forest in front of you. But should they be able to see you through and between the trees, if you were not behind any concealment? (Perhaps to simulate finding a spot to peak through) I don't know if a small amount of foliage around the emitter site would stop a powerful radar from seeing you either.
  6. FFS, this is a yes or no question with maybe a sentence needed if the answer is yes. MODS? DEVS? ANYONE?
  7. What is the big problem exactly? I don't mean to be sarcastic honestly. I always thought that it would be even harder to spot enemy vehicles hiding under trees or in forests *in real life* than in the simulator. And is there a problem with a SAM launch through trees? Do trees block radar (i.e., would a Tor SAM system be able to track aviation that was blocked by foliage?) (Leaving aside IR missiles for the time being)
  8. Can I make my wingmen engage "freely" but not leave the formation?
  9. Too freaking awesome. I love this sim :) Thanks for the answers!
  10. Some vehicle weight numbers: M1A2 - 61,366 kg Stryker - 16,469 kg KA-52 - 7,700 kg
  11. Just watched an Igla hit square on the front of the canopy. Pilot uninjured. Is this because pilot injuries are not modeled? What level of protection does a pilot enjoy in the real thing? (just ooc)
  12. Is this RVRS and if so how did it happen? rvrs.trk
  13. So what about putting a ring around the rotor, like a propulsor or an old G.I. Joe Cobra helo? :D
