  1. LOL Thanks I wasn't aware that the other carrier doesn't work
  2. Update: I can reproduce this and can provide a mission file. I also tested it with latest Beta with same result. Gunhawk
  3. Hi, I gost a strange problem. Although I have managed it earlier, I think I am no longer able to start Hot/Cold from Parking/Ramp at carrier. When I set a Hornet flight to start/land on carrier, it just did not show up until I explicitely select take off from runway Thus said if I select Ramp/Parking, the plane does not show up at all. And yes late activation is not on. I believed I got this working earlier, but I unfortunately don't have the mission file any more. Regards Gunhawk PS: When switching from Player to Client so that I get the slot on mission start to select, it says your flight is delayed to start - which isn't actually true as it is set to 8:0:0/0 Hornet_Takeoff_Ramp_Carrier.miz
  4. Hi all, just want to check if the latest version has something similar. The only intent behind this GAI thing is to be able to build a mission that i.e. triggers an intercept flight to take off from a nearby base upon getting recogniced by radar. Normal trigger zones will trigger off upon being present in them or not but my intent is to depend this on actual radar reception. Example, if someone shots down the enemy AWACS, the EWR capability is being limited hence the intercept flight will not triggered of to launch in time as with the AWACS being present.
  5. Guys, thanks for all the advice. I have now successfully managed to activate the autopilot and indeed the deadzone trick worked. there might be very minimal input levels that confuses the autopilot but once the deadzones applied all is back to work. Thanks GH
  6. OK, will test this again setting a deadzone. In addition I might have two other sticks I could potentially try out. However, I the joystick is causing a disengage because of delivering small inputs whilst hands off, wouldn't this normally result in a visual feedback i.e. the colons would disappear? In my case that wasn't the case though.
  7. So by reading this I can definitively confirm this not working for me. Even if I have managed to get the colons for HSEL and BARO the hornet does not deviate from a levelled heading when changing it via the selector switch. In addtion, a bank with the HSEL selected will not stop when the selected heading value is reached and continue to bank instead. The attitude hold seem to function however as clicking on that would result in a pitch Adjustment as desired. Not sure what to do then. Btw I am using the Beta Version with an X52 FCS System
  8. yes this is what I meant. This switch is where I select the headings and I would expect the the hornet to bank until it reaches the selected heading then stop banking further. For me it banks forever so actually running in circles. Does this ATC in Hud means autopilot on or just auto-throttle and maybe autopilot only works with auto-throttle? I do some further tests but this actually is driving me nuts.
  9. Thats what I did. I what somewhat experiencing a bank angle may be subject to trim. However, I can't verify autopilot to work. When turning the heading selector knob I would expect the hornet with engaged HSEL autopilot to bank until the selected heading is reached and then level. For me it seem to continue the bank level forever. Is there a clear indication etc. for seeing that autopilot is really on? Something like a flag in HUD or so.
  10. Hi, I did choose the heading with press hold on the left knob you mentioned. How I then select if to be the desired heading in UFC - before engaging HSEL.
  11. Hi, I have trouble to engage the Autopilot. Though I have watched the tutorials, read the Manual and followed the steps (set Course, Course is shown in the Bottom left of coloured map DDI Display, clicked on HSEL and got it shown enabledd (colon) and enable the AP with ON/OF button, all I get is a slight bank to the left forever rather than a stop and follow the Course. Any help really appreaciated Thanks in Advance Gunhawk
  12. So with the final version out there - any comments on whether the GAI trigger capability is finally working or not?
  13. Subject says all - this seem to be broken since ages Thanks in advance PS: Unfortunatly the Search Function returned nothing for GAI in this forum
  14. I am afraid that this has never been fixed remembering this from even the Flaming Cliffs V1 or even from Lock-on series. Aparently there is no terrain masking as i.e. AWACs can detect you while sitting on runways at ranges it would when flying at 20.000 regards Gunhawk
  15. What is the point of a GAI task working only if the enemy is detected quickly? I though the aim of a GAI Mission is to wait until detection and than intercept was has been detected. It is very unfortunate that this bug seem to be still in FC2 Regards Gunhawk
  16. Has this been ever fixed? I thinks it is even in FC and beyond. Gunhawk
  17. Hi, I have the same problem - cannot deactivate because of too many HW changes in between - well the only change was the main processor, which died in between! Please don't tell me that I have to buy an old CPU to deactivate. This is a very customer unfriendly copy-protection!! For example in Alcohol 120 you could deactivate always by logging in your web account and enable your new HW hash disabling the old one. So at any given point in time only one license is could be active. PLEASE HELP! Regards Gunhawk
  18. Would this then result in changing the ownership of an airbase provided that enemy units drove by and destroy or even better in taken over the ownership of other coalitions statics objects at base? That would be cool and more the way Falcon4 campain engine is working! Maybe this is a better way of doing it: 1) Static objects will determine ownership of nearby bases (by the way - what is the definition of nearby in perimeter?) 2) The above situation will not change until the static unit get destoyed (base is becoming neutral) or if active ground object is kept nearby even will switch its ownership to enemies side. This logic could be useful in campaigns Regards Gunhawk
  19. GAI-Missions Thanks, I have tested this. By the way was there any reason for having two GAI flights? I mean as I understand GAI is supposed to wait on runway and will only respawn if there are any enemy flights detected by the GAI airbase intrastructure. This means i.e. if the airbase do not have any radar on it it should not detect anything coming in very low. If on the otherhand the airbase is detected by an EWR radar on the base, the detection should be better resulting in the GAI to respawn and take of sooner to protect it. If you need to setup a trigger-hold to prevent the GAI flight from respawning to soon what is the point of an GAI flight than at all? Maybe I am missing something here but I believe the Mission Editor in Lomac, SU27 Flanker etc. has such capability to link detection radars to span i.e. a network. Maybe I am wrong and it was the Janes series that has this capability - anyhow it would be great to have this including i.e. for making campaigns more real i.e. SEAT flight taking out radars to enable subsequent strikes. Regards Gunhawk
  20. Coalitions et all Hi, I am also experienting with coalitions. I believe in Lock-on one could state to whom an airbase is belonging to. If this has changed - what is about airbase where noone is having objects? I am asking because I have probs to get this GAI-Intercept logic to work. Even on distant bases, the GAI-Flight is taking off even before having a chance to get a slightest idea of the enemies direction. Regards Gunhawk
