  1. Hi VH Sorry but LCtrl+E only works 3 times out of ten . Moreover I have to maintain the key comb. depressed a long time before the pilot finally decides to exit !. This key combination is however working perfectly on other sims (Il-2) so my keyboard can't be the culprit . In my control panel this key combination appears normally in the column "keyboard" next to bailout. Am I alone or can this be maybe related to the speed of reaction of my keys ? If so can that be tuned ? Sorry for the inconvenience. PS Landing getting better and better. Madcop:)
  2. Hello there members . Just two little questions. As I am still training and learning to master this Wild Mustang I am still on training missions. 1st.Question. Have any of you already tried to bail out from the aircraft and did you manage.? I personnaly tried a lot of time just to experiment but I always failed. 2nd. Question. In training mission ( take off by my own ) is it possible to change the AC Skin ? (I still think that with a nicer skin I would do better !;) ) Thank You Madcop !:)
  3. I betted you were going for the meadows , but , what a maestria ! NICE ! PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE Nothing impossible . Congratulations Madcop:)
  4. HI Rock , HI Air Wolf :) Well , I was only making 3rd degree humor , or better , trying to ...english is not my mothertongue ! I just hope Bob Hoover could come on this forum and have a hand at the sim and get all these moaners back to their place !. It would be very convenient if one or another actual P-51D pilot could have a look at these threads ! DCS working with the Duxford guys , that shouldn't be a problem !. I agree 100% with your different posts. A real sim must try to stick to reality. I do not like it when it's too easy going cause real life is not. I got some friends who trained in the Air Force to get their wings and who failed and believe me these guys were real willing persons . What's the fun in entering a spitfire, pushing the "I" key and getting aloft...? Everybody finds his pleasure somewhere...that's the principal , and I surely won't blame them for that ...but they should at least respect other point of view , other approaches and really try to understand the principles. Some of them will stay forever "Spoiled children ! ". I also fly Il-2 and I really like it and the people who have brought that sim at the level it is now and... it isn't finished yet. I am sure that if they were not limited by the game engine they could fix more and more FM. Community is far more talents provider than a single developper with all the business, budget, etc... constraints . All this thread makes me remind of Captain Sim F-104 for FS 2004 at the time. Everybody was yelling because they couldn't land this aircraft. I had the chance of having an ex 104 pilot trying the beast on my puter. Well his feeling was that that bird was" handling" pretty closed to the reality . This bird was pretty hard to land and you really had to fly her by the book !. Falcon 4 and his community derivatives has the same approach and I also liked it pretty much. Of course all these sims with DCS A-10C demand a daily training and continuity in the effort , but still , they are the most rewarding. I thank you for inviting me to join you on The Virtual Horsemen and I have all the material for that , but I think the language could be a problem, coupled to this that I had a little health problem that left me with a little "stuttering" way of speaking. Moreover, when getting nervous it makes me forget some vocabulary. And I MAY NOT GET NERVOUS ! :music_whistling: I am still slowly but surely recovering and I really hope to join you one of these days. I sure would pretty like flying P-51D in "very close formation ! A big Thank You to both of You , and I'll try these different X and Y saturation axis. If you (natural PC born guys :smartass:) could put your numbers for each axis here , I think I ( natural shovel born guy ) would have a better image of what I should do and try . Thanks a lot . Madcop:)
  5. HI VH-ROCK Looks like I started a war with my question ! ( maybe you could call it Call of Duty :smilewink:) Stupid questions deserve stupid answers and I think that ,by reading all the following posts , some guys have provided a lot. ! With some guys to keep silent is better than answer. I like silence , the real world is already that stupid noisy !. I am Flight Siming just for relax , even if I have to learn a lot . It is my way of dreaming I could have flown the beauties in another life !. So please could we come back to the real stuff , I mean X and Y axes in Saturation ! I would be so gratefull to you and to all other "wish to help " members. P.S. Taking off very nice now , and on the white line. Landing are still a little bit rough , can't help this bird to bounce two or three times, but now she stays on the runway , with sometimes a broken leg ... I keep on rocking ! Madcop  P.S. By the way ,have you already tried to bail out during one of the training flights ? I already tried , but no way .My canopy would eject but I would stay in this flying coffin. I tried at every speed , attitude and altitude ... no way ! P.S.2 I just wanted to add this " During WWII it lasted 1 year for a guy to get his wings , and after that he would only begin to learn to fly a P-51D ! " So, for sure DCS P-51D is a piece of crap as I can fly her after 20 hours !:D I am a bloody good natural born fighter pilot !:P don't talk to me about these electronic, push buttons, A-10C Mud movers ! LONG LIVE DCS P-51D !
  6. Hi VH-ROCK Well I tried to fine tune my Pitch-Roll-Yaw and Brake axis. I didn't use curvature but choose 80 as a saturation value for a try. BUT ,there is something my bird brain still does not understand. For my Pitch-Roll-Yaw and brakes axis there are a X and Y saturation slider. Why ? Can you explain me the procedure and effects. I can see the difference when I am moving the slider from right to left. It looks to me that these Y axis are smoothness related ( a little bit like a curvature ). But I may be totally wrong. Can we have two different value in X and Y in saturation for the same axis.? I am afraid your "long" post as you named it , was still not long enough for a dumb like me !:smartass: Anyway this P-51D is a real Mustang but I finally feel quite nice on the saddle !. ( The most dreadfull thing for me is still the landing. I can't help bouncing and bouncing untill the gear collapsed one side or the other. Even when rolling quietly this horse can't help but going out the runway !. I may use diff. brakes , full brakes , full rudder , nothing help. I touch the "piano" at 140-150MPH with 2700RPM and 30 boost. No way. I am not discouraged always hoping that the next one will be beter !. I just hope the Air Force won't threw me out for budget reason ! Thank-you again . Madcop. P.S. If you are the one who is the Il-2 skinner I take the opportunity to congratulate you. Your skins are just terrific , and I have got them all !.
  7. Hi VH Rock What an answer ... ! A real university course  Thanks a lot. It is now far more clear for my little brain ! I'll try the content of your lesson and will report back. Thanks a lot to have so kindly taken care of my questions . Madcop:smilewink:
  8. Hello Exorcet Could you please be more informative about "axis saturation". I have a Thrustmaster Warthog and a Saitek rudder pedals. I am a little bit lost with these X and Y axis saturation ...:( What Yoyo is speaking of are related to the Curve ( 60% on the curve line for the Pitch axis and 40% on the roll axis ) isn't it ? Is saturation % related to speed of reaction ? Is curve % related to intensity of reaction ? Is it possible to tune the differential brakes sensitivity ?. What axis is intensity related (X or Y ) ? Also I read somewhere in this forum that it is not advisable to modify the curve of the axis... What do I have to think about all this :( Thank You very much for your help Madcop.:)
