  1. There is a mission editor feature, which is a "watch" button at the bottom of the editor, which limits aircraft based on the mission date.

    Currently if you enable this mode, none of the Mirage F1 variants will be choose able.  Can anyone else see this behavior?  Please comment below.

    It makes accurate mission making easier.  Can we please implement this?

  2. [Flight Planner] Added STRIKE mission generator

    I added an AJS37 with a Strike mission, and he had a bomb loadout, but didn't seem to get any waypoints.

    EDIT: I guess if I frag them myself, I need to add the Waypoints.

    I did notice that when the Mission Generator builds the Viggen path, it flies very high and the INGRESS point is sometimes quite far from the strike. But I guess this is still work-in-progress.

    Cheers,

  4. You have to edit the file : "Scripts/MissionScripts.lua" and overwrite it by the content of the file : "<dcs_liberation_folder>/resources/Scripts/MissionScripting.lua", and then restart DCS.

    However, this should be automatically done by DCS Liberation, but maybe it didn't figured out your DCS installation directory.

    If you don't do this, the mission file cannot write on disk the status of the campaign for DCS Liberation to proceed. (This file contains info about the units/buildings that were destroyed during the mission, and base capture events.)

    Maybe it is also because DCS was already running when you first launched DCS Liberation ? (Then the updated file would maybe not have been loaded by DCS world Lua engine and you would run into this error)

    I think this only happens when I choose Tactical Commander role, instead of flying one of the missions myself.

    When you get time, do you think you could add a new Blue faction?:

    Bluefor 1977

    F-5e, F-4e, F-14a, A-10a, sa-342M, AJS-37, UH-1

    Thanks,

  6. Khopa did a great job improving this campaign for us. Thank you Khopa!

    Hey guys,

    I made a playable pre-release for my DCS Liberation fork/rewrite (QT UI branch.)

    I believe I have fixed most obvious issues now, and it is now an enjoyable campaign system in my opinion. I managed to play and complete a campaign in SP.

    Please let me know if you are able to run it, and enjoy the campaign

    https://github.com/Khopa/dcs_liberation/releases/tag/2.0RC4

    I made a few basic tutorials to help get people started :

    https://github.com/Khopa/dcs_liberation/wiki/Getting-started

    https://github.com/Khopa/dcs_liberation/wiki/Tutorial-01-:-UI

    https://github.com/Khopa/dcs_liberation/wiki/Tutorial-02-:-First-turn

    https://github.com/Khopa/dcs_liberation/wiki/Tutorial-03-:-First-operation

    But the tutorials do not cover all the features yet.

    And .... it's 6AM there and i am tired.

    (Note : This does not support supercarrier yet;)

    I really like the new interface.

    Does anyone know if it is still moddable? Can we adjust which units are included in the different factions/scenarios?

    I want to add the community A4 aircraft, but can no longer find the planes.py file.

    Thanks,

  7. Wags is there any plans to maybe even do some form of damage stenciling? At the moment f10 or it smoking is the only visual indicator that a ground units taken damage, a damage lod or well stenciling to show impacts etc would really help with visually distinguishing hot targets vs non hit targets etc when they are not dead

    +1

  8. Ok, strange.

    I unzipped the Operation Red Bear_first.miz from the 0.4 download and opened the mission file, and the first section of the lua says:

    mission = {
       ['requiredModules'] = {
           ['MiG-15bis AI by Eagle Dynamics'] = 'MiG-15bis AI by Eagle Dynamics',
       },

    I just re-downloaded the zip from your dropbox, to make sure, and it still is the same.

    Strange that is says "AI" in the module name...

    EDIT: I think something is weird in 1.5.7 with the Mig-15bis. If I create a new mission with a Mig-15bis and run it, it turns into a Mig21, and when I go back to the editor, mig15bis is no longer in the list of planes.

    Anyone else seeing this issue?

  9. Not sure if this helps...

    "An optional electro-optical mode presents on the cockpit display video information such as that obtained

    from the Maverick air-to-surface missile. The image is made up of 16 shades of grey and can be expanded by a factor of two if required. "

    "It was initially offered in four separate models with the same radar electronics, but different displays. The APQ-159-1 and -2 models used a display that could operate in television mode to operate the AGM-65 Maverick air-to-ground missile, while the -3 and -4 lacked this capability. The -1 and -3 models had a single display, while the -2 and -4's had dual displays for use in the two seater F-5F."
