  2. Hi, any update on this one. I'm experiencing an identical issue with DCS 2.9.1.48335 Dedicated Server with modular installer and nssm. It starts loading then stops and maxes out a CPU.
  3. Does anyone know if it's possible to generate an on-screen message to the player from export.lua or a hook function (ie not from a mission file), using something like a_out_text_delay()?
  4. Does anyone know if it is possible (and if so, how) to invoke an iCommand (eg iCommandPlaneShowKneeboard) directly from a script? For example, I'd like to be able to toggle the Kneeboard on and off via script. Cheers!

  6. Solved it: it is invokable from export.lua
  7. I want to be able to invoke the "X: COCKPIT HIGHLIGHT ELEMENT" trigger action directly from a lua script. However, this function (and the other Cockpit highlight functions) are not exposed via the trigger.action singleton. Does anyone know if it's possible to somehow directly invoke the underlying function? Looking in a mission file, (I think that) the underlying function is a_cockpit_highlight(), but it doesn't work if you try to run that function directly. Assuming that it is indeed the correct function, I assume that it is embedded in a table somewhere and I need to qualify the function name with the table parent elements.
  8. I've got all settings maxed out and getting 60FPS. So awesome. Thanks ED!! :) :) :)
  9. Having tried out a little bit of CA (and having played ArmA for several years), I can definitely see the potential for it to be an ArmA-killer (or at least a strong competitor!) if ED decide to develop the infantry aspect. ArmA is great for infantry combat, but the relatively small map sizes and dumbed-down aircraft flight dynamics and controls make aircraft (especially fast aircraft) somewhat useless. Combining the goodness of DCS aircraft fidelity with infantry capability would be amazing so I *strongly* implore ED to pursue this. There are many in the ArmA community looking for the next level of fidelity. The serious combined arms game market is ripe for some competition (given that there is pretty much only ArmA out there) and it would seem to make commercial sense for ED to tap into this established market that is eager for alternatives. If ED can work on increasing ground-level detail (using procedural methods), I can really see CA shining in this space.
