Apparently windows (at least win 7) thinks that they are a certificate file but they are not. They can be opened with a STL viewer from the net (http://www.viewstl.com/). I would also assume that opening them in a STL viewer on your hard drive would work if you specifically tell windows to use that program instead of the default it thinks is right.

I'm just patiently waiting here.

Very much interested in these and the fire pull handles too.
