You can also listen to the radio chatter and use the bullseye mark and call along with the TAD to put down a point to examine. Then just slew the TGP there. I saw a video on youtube about it but haven't gotten a chance to try it yet. I know it's possible though. :)

I'm trying to setup my TACAN for a tanker so that I can find it and attempt to refuel, however, after setting it to the last notch (for air-to-air) and then putting in the designated number value, I switched the mode on the front dash to TCN. However, it then hides the number of miles to the target. Is there a step I'm missing?

Are there differences between the AGM Maverick variants that have electro-optical vs. infrared in terms of their ability to lock on to targets at range? I'm having trouble taking out SAM threats from a safe enough distance. Is one variant better than the other for quickly locking on and firing? I need all the seconds I can get... :) Thanks
