  1. Yes, I know the rear flank is the opposite direction than the camp. But did you watch the video? Were the western outfit soldiers insurgents? Why didn't they shoot me and why didn't my door gunners shoot them?
  2. I was flying over the rebel camp, and I was ordered to protect the rear flank of the peacekeepers. However I never saw any enemy troops on the rear. There were some soldiers running across the opening in clearly western outfits and M16's. I flew near them to inspect (I might have shot few of them) but they didn't seem to be hostile, and they certainly didn't seem like insurgents to me. They didn't shoot at me and my door gunners didn't shoot at them. The running group then came close to the presumably Ukrainian peacekeepers and firefight ensued. The western soldiers were shot and the task was completed. I completed the mission but I was confused about who was who.. In the end screen I wanted to see if those who I shot were enemy or not, and it seemed indeed that they were blue soldiers who were killed. I didn't save the end screen so now I'm starting to doubd if I saw correctly. But long story short - here's the video:
  3. Not sure if this is the right thread, but I just found some suitable hats for example the lower hat in ka-50 collective. Connection might take some fiddling, but check it out. They're available in ebay also. http://www.amazon.com/Hobbypower-Transmitter-Throttle-Upgrade-Spektrum/dp/B00HC530O4
  4. Strangely, I just might have solved my problem. Now I can play fairly stutter free. There's still microstutter sometimes when tgp aquires the target for example. What did I do? I'm not sure actually. I deleted my saved games\DCS folder (saved my input folder) Tried the game - still stutters. then copied Ragnaroks shadow file I slide the preload radius to the max. Then tried the game; hmm.. seems better. Then copied the original shadow file and tried again. Strange.. it's still better. What? I could then up my graphics settings higher. Also, when the level is loaded and you're sitting in the cockpit, I zoom in and out in every direction with rage, so that all the swapping is done. I don't know if this makes any sense or if it's helpful but.. oh well. I wonder if it stutters tomorrow. Here's my graphic settings now.. Haven't really tried higher.
  5. I can still run Xplane10 stutter free and with good fps on fairly high settings. DCS won't even on minimum settings. And in my case, if DCS uses ~2-4GB RAM (minimum settings), and the whole system uses ~50% of available 8GB RAM. How would buying additional 8GB help? In any case, I will wait for the next update, and hopefully whatever is bugging the game will be resolved.
  6. I have never seen a game with 16GB recommened RAM. Can you show me me one? *edit: X-plane 10 seems to have pretty awesome RAM recommention 16-20 GB. (I'm not saying that games shouldn't require more and more powerful systems. These new heights are just not pretty standard.)
  7. I don't know how to explain this in plain english. But I try. If you have DX11 graphics card, your system is _FULLY_ DX11 compatible. Only directX compatibility thingies in you MB or CPU are their Integrated Graphics Adapters. Even your CPU has not compatibility with dx11, but its IGA has (but it doesn't play a factor since nobody uses his/her IGA to play this). So its not a thing CPU does. Of course a PC uses CPU to process orders and calculations. Your PC wouldn't work without it. In DirectX case it offloads DX calculations to your GPU through API. Once again. If your system has DX11 graphics card (in a pci-e x16 slot...) then your system is fully dx11 compatible. DirectX is a thing for sound cards and graphic adapters. Not a thing your CPU does (not including it's integrated graphics adapter). Here's a few easy to read explanations; http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/319621-28-directx http://steamcommunity.com/app/261760/discussions/2/540736965900645494/
  8. It only refers to the integrated graphics adapter. Let's not go on that road. You should read about how directX works. Plenty of info on the internet. Yes, we have the same chipset MB, because we have the same processor.
  9. I'm not a programmer, so I don't know what's going on in the logic of the game. Feels like the game is "seeing" multiple objects outside the visible range and swapping some data from them to HDD (why not RAM?) ..But I'm probably wrong because many has SSDs and then you would also see the problem. Are you sure you have 1.5.3 version? :)
  10. Look, the computer is not using MBs or CPUs direcX interface, because it has DX11 (actually DX12 in this case) capable GC. The GPU will dictate directx compatibility. Motherboard and CPU are not a factor. Why we're having performance difference is a mystery. And I hope we get to the bottom of this so multiple people complaining the issue will get back to the sim and rock the jets of this otherwise awesome game.
  11. No. The speed difference is negligible. It has been tested on many computer magazines and sites. There hasn't been any observable fps difference.
  12. Guys... this is very basic computer knowledge. And i7-2600k is on par with modern processors because you can OC it so well. Remember kids, DCS loves high clock speeds. There was a test here on this forum, but I cant find it right now.
  13. Since I doubt use are using your processors or MBs integrated graphics adapter, their DX support doesn't have a meaning. You have gtx 980 GPU, which supports DX12, so thats only thing what matters when it comes to your computers DX support
  14. As I said, I'm running the game with lowest of the low graphical options and work my way up there. But I can't run this thing smoothly even with lowest possible setup. Low graphical settings probably explain the low VRAM and RAM usage. My PC could do lot better, but the game won't let me. RAM isn't issue here. Just look at the RAM usage.
  15. Everything is just fine on my rig. Since this is the _only_ game performing like this, I'd say it's something within the game engine. But I'll be soon ordering an SSD, so we'll see if that makes any difference.
