  1. Yeah, i think it's possible. I found the colorcode somewhere in a file a long time ago, however i can't remember where. Everything you see could be potentialy changed. The commandmenuwidth is set to 280 pixels for instance, but it makes options crop up to two lines. I have it set to 400 pixels wide which gives single line options instead of two. It's much easier to read. I guess it's the standard setting for a 4:3 screens. For widescreens we use today another wider setting is possible.

Perhaps somewhere around the 'DCS World/Scripts/UI' folder you can find what you're looking for.

  2. Lets turn everything off..... there.. all bugs are are gone. Im missing the 'cause and effect' story through. The question is: Is the mission scenery presetbug in this thread the cause or the effect? Ill go for option number two.

  3. Its always the same old story. Certain laws are often used not to keep something from the general public but to keep certain fightercraftdetails out of the wrong hands within political partys. This is when corruption is above an unknown x%. Loose ends means retired nuclear subs being sold to colombian and mexican drugtrafficers. Thats the other side of the whole story.

  4. Back when the beta first came out and I was learning, it would have been great to have Nevada as a training area. But now, I could take it or leave it. I get it for free, so I can't complain too much.. Maybe someone will build an "Invasion USA" styled mission for it.. Wolverine!

Or contain a huge jailraid by bombing the megajail with high altitude bombdrops... :D

  5. See screenshotting and leaving too. When thats for trying to copy a mission i'd say: 'Not enough imagination perhaps?' Luckily i use a random spawn system. Every restart is different :music_whistling:

  6. Linux is becoming better for the gamer/homeruser. Is it up to a certain standard? I dont know, every popular distro i try always has something concerning hardware. Like the video and audio drivers that lack behind. Is it just me or is there alot of difficulty reaching a certain quality standard? Might it have something to do with the fact its actualy all little projects that come together and have incompatibility?

Anyways, things might be changing in the next couple of year by having linuxbased open source consoles which might create a higher quality standard in linuxgaming.

Commodore OS has a funny Linux distro, the deep blue is kind of meh, but it supports most of the old commodore devices and games. Is also fun to show and use this with the kids to see where things started off from in the 80's. Remember the 'press play on tape'? :D

I still have my old commodore 64 with a tapedeck and floppydrive, showed it to my young nephew to learn him something about the old days.

He loved it more than his Xbox, asked if he could play at home and the Xbox is in the corner.

  7. Im sorry FZG_immel, im more than happy and willing to see if theres some extra performance to be gained somehow under the current circumstances, but society doesnt alow me to communicate with u in a proper way.

Also the utter lack of at least a little form in sense of humor isnt received well and different problems are being crossposted which doesnt do good to your started thread about the FPS trouble you are in.

Therefor i will ignore this thread from now, but if you like im willing to walk through some settings through PM to see if at least some extra performance can be gained.

And for others that might not be that conviced in having a relative stable DCS client at the moment. I wont bend towards giving up on the fact that it isnt possible and everything is crap.

Why? Im very stubburn and also because Mr Immels PC is similar to mine and that 2 relative stable PC's on DCS are standing right next to me. This doesnt mean what i tell is his solution, however its far more helpfull and constructive than ranting aside about personal views that belong somewhere else.

Thank you for your time and reading my mumbojumbo.
