  1. Hi Folks, I've only read the first page of posts on this subject and it appears to be part of what I need to know. I'm a 23+ year retired job shop machinist and disassembling, clean and greasing is no problem. But before I start, I always like to get as much insight on things as I can. In my case, I'm almost sure that I have a worn ring because the stick just won't stay in center. I'm not expecting "perfect center" but it's getting worse in both, X & Y axis's. I need to study these pics a little closer but upon first look, I don't see any "thin, .090 ring" that I've read back when warthogworld.com was still an active site. I've already noted the grease and will order it, (though your eBay link goes to a "DOW MOLYKOTE 44 Silicone High Temp Bearing Grease Lube", and that's different than the "Dow Corning Molykote EM-30L Synthetic Grease Lubricant"). What about this "ring" that I read about last year in the warthogworld.com site? Maybe I'm remembering it wrong. Perhaps they were suggesting adding a PTFE ring? :.090" in thickness and 2.125" ID x 2.520" OD (for those into the metric system: .23cm thick by 54mm ID x 64mm OD). Anyway, thanks for the info and if anyone knows anything more about this ring, would you throw in a few words to help remind me what it was all about. Rich
  2. So True! Nevertheless, I did get the impression that the Site's Owner, (I forget his name), was unable to keep up with it and at one point, I seemto remember that he even asked for anyone willing to take on Administrator and Webmaster duties unpaid. So I guess I did see it coming when I think about it:(.
  3. Hi Folks, It seems I've been away from one of my 'important' websites too long. I have the TM Warthog HOTAS and when I'm looking for some 'inside' info, I would go to warthogworld.com. So I did that about 30 minutes ago and spent the following 29 minutes trying to find out where the site went:doh:. Anyway, does anyone know if I'm just not recalling the website's address correctly, or did they crash and burn? Rich
  4. Thanks for the tip Agrasyuk, The truth is, each time I see some of the "Ultra-Pits" that are out there, I get a little disheartened. I have the TM Warthog, Saitek Pedals, and TM MFD's, (I just got those), with a 25" monitor and at the moment I'm saving a lttle on the side for TIR Tracker 5. I just saw some really kick-ass chopper pit assemblies that start at about $700 or so and go up rapidly from there. Very nice Cyclic, Collective, and Throttle setups with 3 screen capabilities. My wife would think I went out of my mind but if I get a little more cash flow, I'm likely to go for one of those first. I like helicopters but I like planes almost as much so it's a hard decision. Rich
  5. I know this is a dated topic but I just have to say that your setup is really cool:thumbup:! Very ingenious:smilewink:! Rich
  6. Wait, I'm missing something. I don't see the price anywhere. Where can I see the price and/or order forms? I see the shipping price, (I'm in Houston, TX), but that was mentioned in a post reply. Thanks, Rich
