I get no Training instructor voice in P-51 or A-10 modules either (must be a DCS World issue).

thanks for reply but I don't think it;s totally the TIR profile as fps are ~ 20 - 30 on say the instant action P-51 vs P-51. Having said that, it does feel over sensitive when looking about, I can almost do a 720. Do I just adjust this in the TIR software as there also appear to be axis settings for it in the game options (don't want to adjust it in 2 places, could get messy)? Funds permitting I'd love an i7 but I'm not sure there would be much of a step up from the i5 I was looking at. DCS doesn't use all the cores as it is, so not sure hyperthreading would help. I though raw clocks were important and that i5 is almost identical to the i7 in that regard but I'm willing to be corrected.

Hi, I know P-51 is still beta but I seem to be getting fps issues and was wondering if this is down to the beta status or that my rig just isn't upto it. Specs; Q8400 Quad core @ 2.6GHz 4GB RAM AMD 6970 TrackIR 4 SSD 1920 x 1080 Running windows 7 64bit and latest AMD CAT's 12.6 I suspect that my cpu is my bottleneck here as although it's solid, it's starting to get on a bit. FPS ~ 25 - 45 in the air, 25 odd while sitting on the runway. My main gripe is that panning around the cockpit just doesn't feel smooth which totally ruins the immersion for me. I have tried tweaking some settings down and even dropping resolution but it doesn't have a drastic effect on things. Are you guys managing to run this beta smooth with better hardware, do I have a config issue or is my hardware not upto it? If it's my hardware, I have been thinking of upgrading the CPU for a while (don't really want to touch the 6970 and in any case that should be upto the job?) and am looking at an i5 3570k + 8GB Ram, but I don't want to upgrade and find it doesn't result in a big increase in immersion. ; Show's p-51 amazingly smooth and I would love to have it run like this, I have no idea what hardware was running it tho. Anyone have any experience of CPU bottlenecks on this title or perhaps ways I can increase the fps? Many thanks.
