  1. Unable to Pick Up ILS Until Very Near End of Runway No, it's not just you or this training campaign. I notice it in most free flight modes as well and it's kind of frustrating not to be able to pick up the ILS when your 10-11 nm out from and lined up with the runway! I don't' know if this issue is airport specific but Batumi is unusually short as you say.
  2. So, how do the real pilots know where the IR camera is pointing when they try to use these A-A weapons? I have a hard time believing this is the way the real AIM-M9 missiles work in actual combat. The real pilots would NEVER find the enemy in time! If the enemy in this training was not deploying it's flares I would have never seen the planes until I was on top of them!
  3. Yes, I wonder why they left out a simple "pipper" on the HUD (like everything else seems to have) to let you know where the IR camera is pointing. I know this plane is not intended for A-A combat but since they gave it that capability it sure would make this weapon a whole lot more useful!!
  4. I am having the exact same problems as you; this training could be better - I agree! Taking out the first plane is easy but after taking out the first plane my biggest problem is not knowing where my AIM-9M camera is pointing so I have no idea which direction to slew to track the second plane. Does anyone know if there is any indication on the HUD to tell you where the IR camera is pointing to give me a clue as to which direction I need to slew? The flares do not help because they stop before I even have a chance to see them in my TGP. I will try the autopilot as you suggested to keep the flares coming longer but there's just got to be an easier way!
  5. What am I missing here? Why is everyone posting their HOTAS A-10C Warthog Serial Numbers and location? Where do you find this information? Thanks!
  6. No, the axis assignments were mapped as they should be. The erratic pitch or roll happened without ANY stick or rudder or throttle input. I did go into my axis commands and noticed that my flight stick was off a bit so I re-calibrated it. This seemed to work for free flight but when I went to a training module (like landing) there was another instance of sudden roll when the autopilot was on. Something is just not right here but I don't know what it is. Ever since I imported my A-10C module into the DCS: World program I have had one problem after another. I wasn't having any problems prior to this.
  7. I'm using the TM A-10C Warthog HOTAS throttle/joystick with the A-10C module (v. 1.2) installed into DCS: World program. When manually flying the plane correctly trimmed for level flight the plane will frequently pitch or roll without any joystick input. Anyone having the same problem? Any fixes out there? Thanks!
  8. Yes, I was having this same problem and like the fix posted below it all has to do with the disabling the "aero" button under the Options menu. Not only does this "aero" button affect the Windows 7 color scheme compatibility but more importantly, it will prevent you from using your mouse to select the "Quit" button after hitting the ESC key when in the Training Missions. This is such a critical button for most, if not all, Windows 7 users and I don't know why the programmers left this button un-checked by default???
