    This "mode" is called Faults Radiation in ADA world,you are ready but secure from HARMS . Better than to have you're radar shut off.Waiting next years to see this feature to CA too. You see i am hopeful too, but some pressure could push things to go forward in the correct direction in CA world I mean. My friend the correct word is not "stop" but let's call it a day,even if it is here midnight. regards,Pap._ :)

    So you agree/accept everything written in the previous post ! I don't care about what concerns you and what relation you have created here. I do really care about the ED rules and their opinion about it. My fried, I never leave the things to be driven by luck.Never.

    For sure has ED to make more code,besides we invest money,they made us dreaming... After 20 years in ADA Units (hawk,OSA,tor-m1 and Asrad Hellas stingers) I though that all you suggest to me it was a part of FCC solution and my job was to evaluate the threat and push the red botton...     I know that but this is not in range indication,just only the range of the target. In envelope/in range indication besides the range needs the velocities of target and the missile,altitude,maximum missile flight time capability (basically) . We have them all in A2A missiles,why not to SAMs...:( Pap

Tor-m1 and OSA because of one gyro principal steer the canards with equal portions of commands to go up/down and right/left relative to their rolling and so it produced the barrel roll flight path. You are actualy confused with the "missile tracking radars".These are missile sighting/command transmission stations and they do what their name says.To make the long story sort their perpose is to hand over the steering of the missiles to the main tracking radar after 300 m (because of the fixed 27 deg lift off) and to send codified commands to the Missiles. Yes you are right,there is difference between missile tracking and guidance finally,don't you think ?
  8. Dear blahdy 1. Tor-M1 does roll on it's axis.Find a YouTube video to check it.OSA and Tor use the same principal to steer . 2. OSA use two independence command channels to steer two missiles in the air.Look a picture of an OSA and you can see them beside the tracking radar. 3. I never referred to other systems but only about Shorad with relative capabilities . 4. Name just only one from those Shorad used in dcs ca. 5. Writing my first post doesn't mean that i am junior in aid defense issues :) Pap
  9. OSA-AKM and TOR-M1. Dear friends from ED.The day you decide to release DCS CA you brought new standards to AD simulation and thank you so much for that. Allow me to propose some changes,if they are applicable,in order to have a better AD environment. 1. The missile flight path of both systems seems like a barrel roll ,with a diameter no more *than 12 meters, because of one gyro principal .The trajectory of vikhr is much closer to that. 2. Both systems,beside the automatic steering through *radar lock, have the ability to steer their missiles manually ( by means of camera). 3. Both systems can steer 2 missiles simultaneously to the target. No other system can do that.CA have many missiles in flight ... 4. TOR-M1 has the ability to engage 2 targets in a window 15x15 deg. 5. The maximum *lock range of a target is 28km and 25km respectively. This feature is very useful for AD tactics. 6. There is no self destruct command for both systems when they loose lock or loose the target. They simply after over shoot the range of the target , tern to up and after 24 sec for osa and 18 sec flight time they self destruct. 7. The OSA missile canister opens just after firing and not upon energize of the system. More will come... Best regards Pap *
