A 10 takes me back to the golden age of sims from Microprose. Learning and putting in to action. A great many thanks to everyone who supplied all the vids and pdfs on the Wiki (fish, tyger, warriorx, chrisakky to name but a few). and thanks to the colour photo coper at work which enabled me to have half a dead tree on my PC desk. Great Game - Great Community. Just hope they put the AH-64 on the list, so i can reach sim nirvana.

Just a quick one, has the fence in and out commands been omited in the radio to the Flight/2nd Element, and therefore do the other A10s in the group automatically switch on their countermeasures at the Fence in/out steerpoints. Also the broadcast SPI is there any kind of symbology on either hud or mfds that this has taken place correctly?, and is the broadcast the only way you can get another a10 to attack a specific point. As when i have instrucuted my wingman to engage tanks/missles/ default, therefore at my SPI on the verbal readout, without broadcasting he does do a pretty good job at hitting what ive ordered him to hit. Many Thanks, As far as i can tell the campaign isnt the same missions everytime, as ive restared a number of times and they dont follow the same order, Does this occur when missions are placed with in a campaign.

Is there a way to set the plane to ramp start on the campaign. Its seems a shame, considering the hours i spent learning to do it that i cant do it in the campaign. Or is there a campiagn out there which does allow ramp starts Also i am considering to head into MP arena, are there any sage words of advice or a prerequisite abilty i will need to acheive prioir to looking for a squadron to join, and whats ones are out there. Im UK based so will need a group which operate on GMT

I had the same issue for ages, the CDU repeater needs to read 4.0-8.0, It takes a while to align, but because you get quicker at start up its not aligned when you come to it. i generally take this time to set up my DSMS profiles and get the EO warmed up on the mavericks.

is that with HUD as SOI?

There is some where on the Wiki of a LGB bomb checklist and with it there is a shut off sequence, also shut down list in the manual. I generally work the start up in reverse. Once parked, Master safe, GUN,LASER and TGP if not already, MFDS, CICU, CDU, OXY, Throttles to IDLE then off, FUEL, STAB, OPEN CANOPY, Radios all off, i like to drop the ladder as well just to appreciate my flight not ending in a fireball and blackened earth. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=73178

On the subject of Mavs and TGP. Just to clarify Once i have point track on a target through TGP then set Mav to slave to SPI and it slews to target. I cannot launch the maverick, as i get the maverick track ihbt message. Is it correct i have to slew the maverick seeker back on to target gnd stab the track before i launch?

I would agree, that it is a steap learning curve initially, but a thoroughly rewarding one. I use a Thrustmaster Hotas X but i also have my xbox pc controller as well, and the additonal buttons and DPAD help a great deal. Also look at what key commands you use. I started off downloading the Hotas keyboard layout from the wiki and actually having that infront of me helps loads. along with that i have the print out of what hotas stick buttons do, ie DMS up and down (Home/End) zooming the TGP. From this it helped me organise my controls. Also look at what keys you actually are using, For example you dont need up,dn,left,right, cursor buttons as you have a stick, so i remamped then to TMS without the modifier. Essentially why have keyboard copies of stick buttons. I ended up Photoshoping the the orignal hotas keyboard image with images of my xbox and flight stick colour coding them as needed to follow the logic of the original. P1$$ poor preperation leads to P1$$ poor performance, i printed out every shred of PDFs on the wiki and bound it all up. a bit anal i know but when your sat on the ramp and have a mental block as to why your EAS switch isnt engaging you can easily find out why. I didnt even touch the game for about 4 days out of sheer intimidation. I pulled my hear out when i could get the engines running. 2 weeks on im dropping multiple JDAMs on markpoint targets. A10 is truley awesome stick with it practice and get printing!! also as i found with most flight sim communites the DSC bunch are a fantastic outfit, i think mainly due to the sparcity of the sim market these days as peolple prefer killing zombies to sending some russion tank commander to the hurt locker with a IR guided Maverick in his face. Keep on keepin on and dont flip those switches and defo dont mash those buttons.

I had a strnage occurnace yesterday, I started a quick mission with all OPFOR on med with vehicles on Max, cant rememeber which airfield, it was too short for my take of weight as i binned in in the boundary fence, but i digress. I was taxing to the Runway when an enemy SU-25 landed and began to taxi towards me! Is this a glitch or are all the airstrips this friendly?? Afterward i spent an hour and a half putting in to practise all those hours spent on the wiki It was awesome!!

All done, just installed the module and its worked fine. Many thanks for your help, just need to learn to fly the bast now

Hi all Just a quick question, I purchased A10 on Steam, a while ago, and this evening i installed DCS World, On start up its saying i need to purchase A10 to run via World. Im sure its pretty simple but i could only find a post regarding the two being installed together. Can anyone assist Many Thanks ED
