My DCS in vr crashes on startup. Works fine in 2d. Worked before fine with good performance. Steamvr and a couple of other games work fine on new oasis driver...but not DCS. sighs...tired of trying to fix it

I noticed this in 2d looking into forest at close range. Framerate got choppy without any obvious update or difference in trees to my eyes.

This is needed for more immersion. Especially in VR if the scale is right. Bring it on ED.

After a week or more of a lifeless VR headset and numerous attempts at fixes...not to mention pulling my hair out my reverbG2 came back to life. I pinned it down to running steam as an administrator. First time trying that one. The show goes on....maybe it helps a fellow reverbG2 user. Edit...first time trying to load dcs..it took a long time and loaded to 2d only. Second time got a hard computer crash and had to plug the power. The tweaking continues..but the headset is alive in steamvr..so not a lifeless brick.

Awesome skins...many thanks. Your textures are certainly better than the default included skins. And your earlier bluish silver is a beauty in the sunlight. Keep it the great work....hopefully they are included in the game in some form in the future.

Long stripes look better to me. Rus skins first maybe.

Thanks @mbucchia Just wanted to say everytime I start Steamvr the Oasis addon is blocked due to crash. Unblock it..restart Steamvr and it blocked again. Headset not detected but is seen in unlock procedure. But will try your solution. Thank you for your time and patience with this idiot. I initially installed it correctly but with one caveat. I was getting massive stutters/framedrops looking left and right quickly..they were not present previously prior to Oasis upgrade. ps....am gladly waiting to contribute on your wiki page when this gets bedded in and resolved.

I stupidly deleted C:\ProgramData\Hololens and now I have a lifeless headset with no driver. If anyone could upload said file/folder or offer some assistance I would be hugely grateful. VR is on its last legs with me. Cost..hoops to jump through...cost to performance ratio. Never ending drama. But my wallet stays closed forever to anything related to that company!

Last couple of tries I am getting vrserver.exe hard error. Anyone got any fix or info for this? Thanks in advance

Snapping is generally indicative of a light source behind. Open camera window in software to confirm and fix.

Performance is no better than before...I did not expect any improvement. Microstutter is back.Textures are shimmering a bit.... seems less clear than before. Will need to try make that better with cross eye tool. A few more hoops to go through and more tweaking needed. Now to try update win11 to latest version and see how that goes. But a very BIG thank you to @mbucchia for fixing a microsoft problem. Edit...today updated to win11 24h2.Mixed reality gone and Reverb G2 working on new oasis driver. Microstutter solved by frame rate throttle to 60 fps in openxr toolkit. The small constant peaks in graph flattened out straight away. Much smoother experience instantly with gpu headroom most of the time. This is way better than setting your headset to 60hz which is a blinkfest and very noticeable. Still need to tweak some more for clarity and sharpness...still some smearing.

First option is folder containing second correct option. And liveries are arranged into aircraft name.....otherwise they wont show in game. Last 4 options are the official installation. Best practice is to use savedgames...windows prefers it that way. In saying that I have liveries in the coremods (bottom)option. Some skin makers have made it their preferable way. Check install instructions. If you have to reinstall DCS those will not come back. In a clean-up command situation you will have the option to remove or keep all non official files including skins. Best practice is to keep your install clean and official.

Second option for official paid module skins...third option for unofficial mod skins.

I quite like the earlier bluish version...Im going to hold onto those too
