Arduino2DCS - Arduino Bridge Software
mr.john_doe replied to Boltz's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Hello, which buttons do you use for the UFC? Are you using normal push buttons? Greetings and Congratulations I want to build an costum panel with some important switches such as weapon controlls or gear and power panel but have problems getting the correct names for the functions in the scripts such as desc="AHCP Panel.Master Train" for all functions. -

Maybe you can post your export.lua ... Can you give me some advices for finding the right commands in the dcs-files for my panel? Maybe a tipp where I can search or which scheme is behind the commands? Greetings ... -

OK, do I have that understand right? They are for both, inout and output? So is there a reference where I can search those terms? -

Hello, my question means who has defined those actionnames? Came them from you coded in your program or are they standard terms from helios. So if there are not hard coded in your exe we can add new commands for new panels maybe. I have searched the helios wiki but couldn't find the commands. Greetings -

Thank you. Is it possible to use other arduinos as the mega? Can I use my nano? Greetings -

Hello, great job. I have ordered my mega today (since I only have a nano). Is there a documentation which functions I can map to a key (such as "Master Caution Push")? I don't have a dcs installed here so I couldn't look at helios now. Can you maybe make a extended tutorial for getting leds work (such as flaps, gears or radio)? Thanks a lot for the effort. -
Arduino EOS Helios basic Tutorial
mr.john_doe replied to whartsell's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Hello, I have build a breadboard-build with my arduino nano and two threewayswitches. In helios seems everything fine but in DCS there is no reaction. And after starting and closing the DCS there is also no reaction in helios. Can you give me some advices for finding the error. Can you also give me some tipps for the following questions: 1. I want to build a panel for the SU25T but it seems there is no profile in helios for that. 2. I want to build an autopilot panel for the A10 (maybe also usable for the SU25T) but couldn't recognize how I should assign the switches. Is there a way to find options I want (later other functions, too)? 3. Can I add more then seven switches? Maybe the analog pins or a matrixbuild? Thanks alot. -

Arduino2DCS - Arduino Bridge Software

Thanks alot. When I connect them with an analog or digital pin and ground how do I get then 68 switches? I have 11 pins to use so I get 11 switches? I thought matrix means I connect D2 with A2, D2 with A3, D2 with A3 and so on? But then I came to 111 switches what is a lot. Do you have a good schematic for example and is there a way to get the program now. I couldn't see a download link.... -
Arduino2DCS - Arduino Bridge Software
mr.john_doe replied to Boltz's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
@Boltz: My problem is that I couldn't imagine how it should work now. I have tried to find some tutorials (p.E. EOS/Helios with an arduino) but I couldn't get how I can use more then seven buttons or switch positions with one arduino. -
Arduino EOS Helios basic Tutorial
mr.john_doe replied to whartsell's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Hello, I'm very interestet in building some panels for my dcs (primary panels for the a10 and su25t) and I am searching for good tutorials as I have an old arduino at home. Is there some kind of deep tutorial for building a simple panel (autopilot p.E.) and can someone describe me how I can have more switches attached then digital inputs the arduino has? I don't understand how matrixes work here. I want to go to a near electric shop and buy some switches and buttons for testing around. I think for my autopilot I need three switches and one button? Also I want a simple pannel for flaps and landing gears (maybe a simple one for energie, engine, lights for the su25t). Can you say me what I need to buy for this (beside the switches of course). Thanks a lot. -

Hello, very nice. I thought off using an arduino as input device some minutes ago (using the Keyboard.write() function) and wanted to look for some examples and tipps and then there was your post. I want to start small (have all modules, but want to begin easy with some switches for A10 or the SU25T (Maybe autopilot or - advanced the cdu as a dream). Do you have any guide how to import / export new commands to the arduino? Please, I want to condribute. Thanks alot. -
Hello, is there a guide how to use my android pad for my mfd's or other instruments? Greetings

Hello, I'm new at flying and think about a facetracker. I also play Arma for which this is also a good adition. But I'm a little scared about the price for the track ir here. The Version five costs 150 Euro, the four about 100 Euros. So I think about building the system for myself with freetrack. But my computer is at its limit when flying. Can you recommend one version over the other? Are there benefits of the fiver version over the version four which are worth 50 Euros? Or does someone has good experiences with freetrack? Thanks alot

Want to play flaming cliffs 3 - what to do?
mr.john_doe replied to mr.john_doe's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
Thank you, Do you really need an installation of LOMAC or do I only need the cd-key? -
Hello, I own DCS World Black Shark and A10 and want also play the flaming cliffs series (but integrated in DCS World). When I want to purchase fc3 it means that I need the previous part of logon. So does I understand that right? I have to purchase fc2 to play 3 in beta? And then, when released I have also to purchase fc3? Greetings

Hallo, da habe ich schon geschaut, aber ich konnte die Achsen nicht identifizieren. Merk gerade, dass ich ohne TrackIR (grad noch zu teuer) Probleme habe, da mir ein coolie hat fehlt ...

Hello, I have tried to stick my android 10 inch tablet to my pc what basicly works. Now I want to use it with helios as input for DCS A10 and Blackshark. So does anyone have a good profile for this? Regards

Hello, can some one please make a tutorial for doing this? I have a galaxy note 10.1. It would be great to do something like this: http://bit-shift.com/img/combo_full.png Greatings and regards. -
Hello, I want to dig deeper in A10, KA50 and Combined Arms but my old joystick doesn't work well. So, I will buy a new one in next time but want to fly a little bit around before. The only input device here is a xbox 360 gamepad. So, I know that A10 is a simulation and shouldn't work well with this but can someone give me tipps for setting up the game with my controller? I just want to take of and blew some stuff before my joystick / hotas will arive. Thanks for your tipps.

Good "Beginner"-Joystick for DCS
mr.john_doe replied to mr.john_doe's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Thank you. It looks good. Especialy for this price. But isn't the hotas stick a little bit near the stick? Greetings -
Hello, I have started playing DCS BlackShark and Combined Arms and thinking about getting A-10. My old joystich (a logitech one from 2002) doesn't work well on Windows 7 so I think about getting a new one. I like the Saitek X52 but as beginner with no clue how often I will fly those simulation monsters I don't want to pay around 170 Euro for Input (better more modules ...). So is there a good joystick you can suggest and on which I can maybe add a thruststick later? Thanks and greetings
