  1. I use them, I put them with sticky putty onto a couple of non touch 800-600 usb monitors. The functionality is fantastic. I just cut up a foal flooring tile to make something for my desk, not great photos but you will get the idea. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Ya thanks.... Hey Guys Thanks for the posts. I stumbled into that this morning but you are exactly right. I had not defined the area for my ‘available space’ properly in the game. A few great helping points, not sure who but stumbled onto the screen shot and paint program use for knowing where your screens are. I put windows into the area that I want for my MFDs and then it was easy to program... Only issue that took further ‘planning’ for me was the fact that although I have the three screens I am only using the center so had to rewrite that but now working so all good.
  3. Nope... I will search further and hopefully get a solution
  4. Hey, After being away from the system for a few hours I think I figured it out. I will do the math and try it out tomorrow.
  5. Hello, First off I know that there are numerous posts on this and I do have an idea.... but I have been tinkering for hours and have hit a block, so please help. I will try to attach a few photos... I have 5 monitors running. My primary in the middle the two next to it which I dont use in DCS and then my two MFD's with the Thrustmaster LSK interface put on top. (hopefully check photo) I am trying to configure my LUA to allow my MFD's to run under my LSK interface. I have uploaded photos... 1 of the actual physical screens, 1 of my LUA and 1 of my Windows settings. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Cheers
  6. Thanks for the links I will check them out...
  7. Hey, Ya I like the integration of the World control center or whatever you want to call it. Interesting though and I will make another post about my "findings" I have got it all working now but it took some time... it came down to saved games and previous install conflicts I believe... but now all is good. Rgds
  8. Hey folks, I might have this wrong but it looks to me that all of the DCS systems that are purchased separately are basically run through DCS World ?? Is this correct?? Secondly if so, my 4-5 year old install of A10C... do I need to uninstall it and then reinstall it through World 2.5?? Or do I keep it as separate? The reason I ask is I bought the F18 and I believe that I need my DCS World to be installed and running in order to install the F18... correct?? Thanks in advance and sorry if it is already covered somewhere. Cheers
  9. Thanks for the posts folks.... I will take a better look and try the recenter view button option.
  10. Fair enough Fair enough, guess its not really a problem. Guess I meant with regards to keeping a mouse handy for clicking on the screen when looking at switches and stuff. But in reality it is a personal setup question so once I get it up and running I will be able to deal with it. As far as binding the buttons for the VR good suggestions, I will find something in the HOTAS that I can use for that.
  11. Hey guys, First off I have used DCS A10C quite a bit. I am a computer guy, self build and debug etc etc... But I am new to VR. I picked up a Rift S and then upgraded the system to match, loaded the new DCS World, and purchased the F-18....ok so that is the basics. It is not a problem with the setup as I know the Rift is working... and I can see a MIG29...... BUT What do I do with it? The VR menu loads into a hanger with the aircraft but nothing comes up anywhere around me to indicate that I can do anything. I have seen a small post in one of the forums that I have been searching and saw one comment about load time, but again there is nothing on the screen to indicate that anything is happening. All of the menu and user manual discussions are about what to select in the menu and the like... Additionally, thanks for reading..... and a quick basic VR setup question. I have the Thrustmaster A10C controller system (A10 Worthog HOTAS)... how do people setup their environment to use this stuff... I guess move the border zone inwards on the RiftS anyway.... comments please.
  12. Ok thanks Ok thanks folks... I have just downloaded DCS World. Any idea if I will need to purchase the A10C again or will my install work in World?
  13. Hey Folks, Ok so had some time to play lately and am trying to get back into A10C. I wanted to check what is the current version of the stand alone A10C. I downloaded the A10C from the download link but when I tried to install it, it did not recognize my current installation and told me that I needed DCS World installed to install it. Thanks in advance.
  14. Thanks Thanks WAGS that sorted it for me but what did it do I have been looking on the keyboard shortcuts but can't find it's reference. I will dig in the manual when I get a chance. Thanks for the other posts and info. I have been opening the canopy since I first had trouble but it was not working for me... Anyway it appears to be working right now... I am just on mission 2 of the campaign to take out the HQ and was able to repair, refuel and rearm a couple of times. After the second repair though I found that I could not hear any of the mission comms... I switched the rotary dial off of INT back to VHF so again I am missing something. I pressed the right CTRL and ' again but without the knowledge of what it is doing I am not sure how many presses will access the right setting... I will dig around and continue to check it out. Two single engine landings, one with no gear left on the a/c... That one was fun cause the gear shows 3 green but there are no wheels or tires... Sure stops quickly. Love this sim, great fun. Thanks for all the info.
  15. Hey folks... Ok sorry I have asked about this I think already but am starting it fresh. I have sorted out normal comms but comms with the Ground Crew are not working for me. I have watched the YouTube videos and viewed a few other posts about comms. I am using simplified communications. I know I have the INT switch in the correct position as if it is not there then I dont even have the option for Interphone comms on my HOTAS movements. I am running the first few missions of the campaign and have returned to my home base (Batumi). I am able to have the aircraft fixed on the ground but I dont get anything for refueling or rearming requests. In the video they respond and then it is carried out. I have tried with just APU running and engines shut down... I have tried every parking spot at the airport which is outlined in the red octagon... I went and parked infront of a jeep.... I am a bit confused. I motored the engine for temps before restart and when I did Tower cleared me for taxi so I know that things are working ok but...... So any suggestions would be great thanks. Is it that I am not able to rearm or refuel during a campaign mission?? Cheers
  16. Campaign's?? I am likely missing something as I only have one mission in my A10 campaigns... Where did you get the other one?
  17. Just on the iPhone... Campaign mission communications worked as I had expected. I assume that the free flight missions are not set up for comms. I landed with no tires though after a Sam hit so was not able to reload and go back for more. Anyway, have it working so that is great.
  18. Hey guys, Thanks for the info. I do configure the radios to PRE and TR during the startup. I use the HOTAS radio switch to pull up "the radio's" either the UHF/VHF or INT... I then will interact using the F1-F12 keys. When I look at the radio after selecting the appropriate tower freq from the drop downs for transmit it will show as being tuned. At this point I am generally running the free flight missions for some a/c familiarity so I assumed that the starting airport should be all good to go. I have switched the HM switch for INT for the communications to the ground as when I brought up the radio's the ground communications were showing in black. Once I changed it to INT it was showing in White which should mean that it is able to communicate. I will check again about those switches in the back for the INT.... alternatively I will definitely try just opening the canopy. Cheers.... I will also try a mission and see what I can get from that.... maybe the free flight is not "simulated" very well. One quick edit.... I assume it is due to my settings as when I do a RAMP start (free flight mission) then I have this issue but I seem to remember that the runway start works ok.... I will test this though and post back.
  19. Hey guys, Quick one causing me grief. I have been through the manuals and checklists and they all say set up radios... I am a rw pilot and understand it but have mis set something for sure and am hoping it is an easy "fix". I have enabled easy comms as for me it is just not part of the game that I wish to "simulate" to such a high degree... Having said that I can't hear anyone... I have he white for ground and call for start but am not getting anything as well as when calling for weapons or fuel... I turn to int and get the white letters and call for full tanks and get no reply and no fuel... What am I doing wrong please? I will check manual again but was hoping the world of frequent fliers might have an idea for me. Cheers
  20. Hey there folks... Hope that this the right section to post this question. I have YouTubed the setup and there is some great stuff out there but I have a problem which I am sure is an easy fix. Ok: I have added a third monitor as well as the lillys. All are up and running. Monitor 1&3 are slightly smaller than my center monitor but I thought if I mapped the screen to the main monitor 1080, rather than the 1060 then the game will display correctly on my center monitor and my sides which are meant to be floating will work even though some of the display is "off monitor". I have my system default monitor as my center. When I config the LUA I have mapped everything out but I am stumped before I start as the game is not booting my left monitor... the screen starts on my center and stretches to the right and onto the Lillys but I cant get my left monitor to work. I have tried mapping the start point in the LUA to -1680 which I thought would move it over but it does nothing. Any ideas please?
  21. Hey, I am away from home and my computer for the next few days but I will describe what I did that got them to work properly. I went into settings and controls and then axis tune. When looking at the rudder pedals the line in axis tune is a 45degree line that is interacting with two little red squares. There is (I think) x and y axis working both at 100. I reduced the x ( think) so that the line sort of goes vertically, looks like a squared off S it goes straight across the screen then a line vertically up the middle. I did the same of course for both pedals but I think one of them was the other axis, cant remember but the right pedal was slightly different.... easy to figure out though once the one was working and I tested it... I just swapped the selected sliders until it worked correctly there as well. Sorry that I cant remember which it was exactly, I will take a look at them when I get home if you still are having issues, that wont be until Monday though. Good luck, hope this helps. Cheers
  22. Hey guys... Got it working, not infront of it now and will post the confit just in case it is of any use for people. Cheers
  23. Hey, Thanks......... sorry for a non complete message as I do appreciate your response. I had actually done that reversed the settings there and it was the same... now when I did that I also saved it... does that mean I needed to load it before flying?
  24. Hello folks... First off, awesome sim, love it. Only have 45min in the air at this point as I am having some issues with configuration. Anyway. Ok so my HOTAS and Cougar's showed up and are very nice to say the least. I have basically no issues with them but my question is with my rudder. I am using a Saitek pro rudder system... and have turned off everything in the A10 Controls screen other than the axis for rudder and the brakes. It was showing buttons which was strange, wonder if that relates to multiple controls through a USB hub.... I will look into that later. Anyway... the brakes are backwards. If I press them fully then the aircraft will roll but if not it is stopped, I assume there is a parking brake but I would of thought that once the brakes are pressed it is released... or am I just missing a basic flying point of this cockpit which I have not studied enough (due to the fact that I just wanted to fly it)... Cheers PS. Additionally if anyone has any suggestions as to resources and configuration ideas for the Cougar controls and some of these screens I have seen on YouTube that would be cool.
  25. Hi there, Thanks for the reply. Not sure if my post was clear enough. I am happy with how to assign buttons. I have tested the calibration of the loadout in CH manager before "downloading" it. But the axis of the controls dont work correctly in game. I will try it again when I get home and this time I will not use CH Manager and just load the controls in the game. Aditionally though it is curious as to how the game does not recognize my rudder pedals. My saitek pedals are connected and powered and work fine with MS X so I dont know why they are not even detected in game with DCS A10. I will also check the calibration in windows to see if it all works ok there and then try to see if I can figure it out. Cheers
