  1. I have the same problem, as well. I can shut the tone off by fiddling with the frequency knobs. Another, major, problem is, that as soon as I contact JTAC (after getting the tone shut off), the frequency switches to 180.00 from 30.00. I never do get connected to JTAC. meaning I can't practice it and learn it.
  2. Hi everyone, Another issue. I just bought DCS P-51D and think I'll like it a lot. I'm having a problem though, with the maps and view control. It seems there's a conflict using the throttle coolie hat (Button #1) and the kneeboard. I tried clearing the kneeboard from the the coolie hat and mapping them to the keyboard. But the views don't work very well at all and the kneeboard still pops up when I try to use the coolie hat to switch views. I imagine one changes views a lot in a fighter plane so I'd like to fix this. Thanks for your help. bkrull
  3. Hey, Strut, thanks for posting the profiles. Looks like a lot of work went into them--a lot of effort. Couple of questions: 1) The throttles and rudders are reversed; is there a fix for that? And, 2) A dumb question, do you install all three profiles? Thanks bkrull
  4. Hey, Pacotito, the issue resolved itself. I've got 16 GB of RAM and am running 64-bit Windows. Thanks for your reply.
  5. Thanks, Atalia
  6. Thanks a lot, Joey and Skall. That did the trick. I didn't know that about Client and Multiplayer, thanks for telling me. I'd be lost without these forums and guys like you. Best Regards, Bill
  7. Hello all and thanks in advance for your help. I'm trying to learn to use the Mission Editor to set up some simple, single player missions. Oddly, I can create a mission to practice landing and taking off. However, when I try to fly, the mission starts with another player's plane. I can't figure how to insert myself into the game. All I can do is watch the other guy fly, which is pretty frustrating. Surely there must be a simple newbie solution which works since I'm a simple-minded guy. Thanks again, Cajun Bill
  8. Hello again, When I try to fly a mission in DCS World--most A-10) the simulator crashes about half way through and I get the Blue Screen of Death. I have a custom-built Digital Storm with 3.6 ghz and two video cards. I'm using Windows 7. Also, I'm using a Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog controller and Saitek Pro Flight rudders. Oddly enough. when I fly the stand-alone version of A-10, no problems arise. I've tried re installing DCS World several times. For some reason, I can't use Multi-Player in the the standalone A-10--no servers show up--so I need to get DCS World working again so I can get back online. Thanks for your help.
  9. Hello all, You guys solved my previous problem so I thought I would try again since DCS isn't helping. I just pre-purchased the Mi-8 beta and downloaded it. However, I can't install it--I get an error message saying I don't have DCS World installed. I have World installed along with A-10C Warthog and Flaming Cliffs 3. I appreciated any and all help. Thanks Bill Krull
