Question? In case I am doing buddy lasing for Kh-25ML. It is possible enemy spot my laser from a ground unit with NVG using CA module?
It shouldn't since what you would see with NVG is an IR laser, which operates in a different band than lasers used for weapons guidance

Go into tune axis for the brakes and try inverting...
You weren't too far from the real issue after all :D

I don't get the problem with the Harrier - just memorize some visual cues once plugged in and the next times you just replicate these, done.
Everything is easy once you get to figure it out. In DCS is even a bit "simpler" as the basket somewhat "snaps" on the probe whereas IRL you either hit or miss (but you have a few different "cues" you can't really simulate in DCS, i.e. your body feeling the plane)

Cant be any worse than the Harrier...
Refueling that baby is a pain, i should know :joystick:

"Set current SOI as SPI donor" ... can we all agree on this? There's almost 10 pages of this thread of useless back and forth

Rotor and N2 Turbine stage in the Gazelle are rigged together and when the rotor is blocked N2 refuses to turn as well.
That doesn't sound too healty :music_whistling:

The R-27r is a SARH missile AKA Fox 1... it should drop the guidance as soon as the MiG-29 turned and stopped supporting it.
I think it is a AI issue since player guided missiles don't behave this way or it could be a de-sync issue... anyway I hope ED up's the priority on the R-27 family update since it really starting to show and needless trigger people.
Yeah sorry i mixed up Fox1 and Fox3

Recently with Suite 9 we have the ability to put multiple targets in a list, press the pickle button once, and have multiple bombs hit multiple targets simultaneously.
OMG that'd be lovely to have on our old man (suite 3 i believe?)
-
Isn't the R27-R a semi-active radar guidance missile? It's supposed to guide "as a fox-3"
Also, why is this in the A10C forum?

FBW really comes into play in very unstable aircrafts (on purpose, as lack of stability makes for better manouverability, within reason ofc).

I would like to know if is it possible to open (put up) this fire protection wall by my self?
If I land and want to take off ones more, I would like to put it up after on position for take off.
I think it comes up once you line up and pressy 'U' (default keybind IIRC) to "lock" the plane in place. Wheel stoppers and deflector should come up.
Though this is a bit OT as it's more of a "FC subforum request"

The cockpit image above shows a wonderful perspective that sims currently don't seem to grasp that well. That being just how cramped the f16 appears. The (icp?) Panel and hud seem to be far closer to the pilot than any of the other instruments

This is an issue with portraying a 3D space onto a 2D screen, plus some FOV side-effects.
The only real solution to this is VR which of course gives an incredible 3D perception

Hi Glyn
Can you let me know which campaign? is it an ED one or user created?
It maybe a case of just re-saving the mission
He already confirmed it is not strictly campaign-related as it happens on a separate mission he put togeter with just an F18 and a Tanker in the ME
thinking it was a mission corruption set up new simple mission at night simple F18 and K130 AA refuel. Same thing tanker not lighting up on approach. ( Using correct radio procedures and getting correct responses plus ability to refuel)EDIT: Sniped by OP :book:

Found melted molex connectors on psu end for the graphics card power leads... likely sudden power drop psu fault.
Wow, never seen anything like that on "normal home-systems"
-
It’s very pretty on the 29, also only one with wing flexing
I'm pretty sure i've seen wing flex on SU27 (and possibly 33 as well)

Performance in MP is generally lower than in SP for various technical reasons.
How many FPS are you squeezing out in SP?
Also, the complexity and object count of any MP mission along with the number of connected clients can also affect a user's machine performance.
If your CPU bottlenecks your GPU in MP due to higher load due the above, it is "normal" to see the
GPU stay at low boost freq. First thing to do would be to check in the Windows Task Manager (or Resource Monitor) how much CPU/RAM/GPU/HDD is being used. Any of those might be bottlenecking for various reasons

A10's GAU ricochet is incredibly dangerous. That's why a JTAC will never call a strafe run with the aircraft "flying" towards them. Even if you hit the target, bullets ricochet on the ground can travel for hundred of meters
-
So far I was under the impression that the aircraft includes a terrain elevation database, and calculates the target position as the position where TGP line of sight intersects with the ground. As a result, any dynamic object (car, tank, truck, tent, and so on) would be excluded from the calculation
Yes exactly.
That's why you would need to lase the actual "dynamic object" to have a very precise position/elevation calculation (see my point below)
...If you lase a spot for an accurate measurement and then stop lasing, the accurate measurement goes away immediately, and the calculation goes right back to LOS ground intersection. At least that is my current understanding of how the system works...I'm not 100% sure as my knowledge comes from just what i've read over the years on the web, though it should be that once you lase you "keep" the corrected position until you move the TGP again, at which point it goes back to LOS/Focus calculations

^This
It is a common misunderstanding for beginners.
And that's exactly what OP is suggesting to change in the manual.
Currently it says "Make SPI" which makes no sense, at least until you eventually figure it out as a beginner. Should say something that more clearly represent the "assignment" of SPI from the currently selected SOI, be it a TGP, MAV, HUD (IFFCC), TAD

Seems to be fixed with the latest OB patch, at least on my system :pilotfly:

Yes A-10C
Thanks

Axis curves have a HUGE impact on how difficult it is to AAR or to fly formation or even just fly in general.
Apart from that, if you feel good flying with your setup and you are confident you are in full control of the aircraft, just make sure you have:
1. set the proper tanker frequency (unless easy comms option is enabled)
2. make sure you are calling the tanker on the proper radio (different keys for COM1 and COM2)
3. make sure you get cleared to rejoin, then position yourself in pre-contact position (lots of videos on youtube showcasing this)
4. report "ready precontact" to the tanker and recieve a "cleared contact" (or nothing if you're not in the right position)
5. approach the basket slowly and steadily and it will connect just a moment before you actually "touch" it
-
so why would you program the stick to be too strong for one hand?
To filter out as much as possible any unwanted inputs under high-g loads is my guess

This sounds like the bug for the A10C, is that it?

The "Door Art" is something custom for the pilot.
Each pilot has his own inner-door design
