  1. kgillers3's post in CP/G flying with IHADSS flight symbology yet using TEDAC for TADS search/aquisition? was marked as the answer
It’s not possible, what you can do is remove the hdu and have a flight page up. Or get in position and switch to tads. But it is all or nothing if you sight select tads
Some people dim hdu or lower the flir level and gain, to me that doesn’t make a lot of sense but maybe that will be something you can look into, but if it were me I’d remove the hdu by pressing ‘i’ or whatever you have it bound too

The way the brake works, if you apply pressure it releases the handle. So to set it the pilot has to press the brake pedals, pull and hold the handle, release pressure off the brakes and then release the handle, weird but it is how it is. I haven’t played in a while but I believe it’s the same in the sim.  Releasing is easy. Just press the brake pedals and it should pop right back in.

arm safe, I believe there’s a deal that George is actually re arming your aircraft so he can fire again if necessary, I believe there’s a report about it somewhere on the bug form.  Maybe even a workaround I’ll look for it here in a min and if I find it I’ll post it here

You need to bind the trigger guard open or I believe they added it in the special options to default open.
  4. kgillers3's post in Acquisition source automatically switching to PLT while I'm in the CPG seat was marked as the answer
As soon as you sight select tads your acquisition source option for tads goes away because the LOS is where the tads is looking, that would be my guess what is occurring, you're in the front seat, select acq tads but your sight is HMD (your helmet), you're telling the system you want to use the tads as a sight so you sight select tads and the acq source option in the front seat now goes away and Tads is no longer an option for something to look at.
  5. kgillers3's post in trouble understanding the difference between acquisition source vs sight select was marked as the answer
I didn't want to go down this road but I'll give it a go. But if you didn't understand Casmo's video I think you should just take the time and re watch it.
So I think you're overcomplicating the concept and confusing it with A10 and other platforms and ideologies.
A sight.  Is used to aim the weapon system.  It is tied into the aircraft. You cannot use your eye to do this because it is independent of the aircraft.  It doesn't matter if you're viewing from the HDU or the TDU in the case of the TADs because you're just viewing the video from a different monitor in a sense.
HMD is using your helmet as a sight and the LOS or solid crosshair in the heads up display if you will is the "aimpoint"
Regardless of those two methods the aircraft is taking the left right and up and down and applying it for alignment of the weapons for employment.
Acquisition for all intents and purposes is a reference.  Its so you can quickly and easily reference where something is with symbology.  If it is just a line, direction, bearing from you in example the opposite crewmembers sight. Then it will just show that.  But if it is a point on the ground that's been stored in the aircrafts database i.e. a target, wp, control measure you can get range information displayed as a Nx.xx next to the box in the middle.
A sight which is the lower left of your TDU / HDU pending on how you're looking at it is what you are using to manipulate, aim, and employ weapons.
An acquisition source located in the lower right hand corner of the TDU / HDU is a reference for you, and is up to you how you use it whether it be know where the other guy is looking, quickly reaquire the target area after turning back in, or leave it fixed.
The slave function on the TEDAC slaves (makes the TADs follow the acquisition source) the TADs when it's being used as a sight to the acquisition source to quickly find it, then deslave so you can manipulate the sensor as you see fit.
When in the front seat with HMD(your helmet) as the selected sight it 'slave' shows and hides the acquisition source and the cueing dots (the little dots around your cross hair that help you find the cued los or dashed crosshair).
    Sight = Aim
Acq = Reference and aide in situational awareness based off how you're using it.

Deliberately not talking about FCR because it's not implemented yet
Also I'm aware I've pretty much said the same things that are covered in casmo's video and I thought @AvroLancs explanation was pretty good.
  6. kgillers3's post in [Noob] How to select another waypoint on the TSD? was marked as the answer
TSD > RTE > DIR > Either caq W03 or click "Point:?"  and type W03 on the ku.  Safe flight
  7. kgillers3's post in Why this design and why not the other was marked as the answer
Speculating they made it match the cyclic, invert your controls if you don’t like it.
  8. kgillers3's post in Trigger functions? was marked as the answer
Cyclic trigger and Left Tedac Weapons release are the same function.  But the logic for was and trigger pull is matched too what you was it on, so cyclic was will respond to cyclic trigger pull.
First detent is fire with no inhibits
    Second Detent overrides performance inhibits.
I just bound second detent.  For CPG station I'm only binding the TEDAC was and triggers.
    Tedac Right grip laser
    First detent single lase
    Second detent continuous lase.

  9. kgillers3's post in Gyro Precession was marked as the answer
The tilt is correct for the the uh. The controls are rigged. Now I haven’t specifically checked, but, if you were looking for evidence of it then with the blades stopped, If they are at the 9-3 clock positions. Forward and aft on the cyclic you should see the blades feather or rotate.  And if you move it in the roll axis there should be no feather.  If the blades are at the 12-6 clock positions, the opposite for pitch and roll.

the disk tilts because lift is being applied in the correct area. Gyroscopic precession says it’ll happen 90 degrees ahead of where you ask for it or to that affect. No weird tilt.
If you ask for lift 90 degrees behind, the result is blade tilting in the way you wanna go, so if the controls aren’t rigged then for and aft in the cyclic will give you left and right which would give your funky blade movement and probably a crash.
  10. kgillers3's post in Simultaneous weapon firing? was marked as the answer
Not really, while both can be selected, you can only fire one at a time. So pilot can do a rocket run and front seat can shoot gun after
