    [RESOLVED] TID Repeater not working (front seat)

    I think I found a way to replicate it. In multiplayer prior to jester beginning the alignment process. Look at the f10 map. Then back to cockpit. You’ll hear him begin the alignment but you will not see the fix repeater work. To fix you need to respawn.

     

    I've respawned multiple times in the same server and it hasn't changed unfortunately

    Thank you guys. I tried it earlier following your reports and it worked on my side. However I made sure I selected the alignment option.

     

    Hence two questions, please:

     

    1. did any of you, where the TID did not work, omit this step (select alignment option).

     

    2. did the HSD work however, and only TID was a blank screen, or did both not work?

    First time I thought Jester had frozen, and tried to select an alignment only after a noticeable pause when I realised the TID repeater was not working, this was a CV alignment so there was some time.

     

    Second time, I selected a land based aircraft and made sure to select fine alignment as soon as the option came up, same result however.

    Only experienced it just now in MP.

     

    Missed the basket of the KC-135MPRS and Jester started repeating all of his quips about missing, didn't give any other callouts. Turned Jester inactive in the menu, then back on, and he carried on repeating. Turned him to silent, and back on, and he carried on repeating. Only after breaking from the tanker, probe back in, and turning him inactive did that reset him back to normal and we carried on.

    Will we be getting some CAG or Aggressor birds as default skins? ED have done such stunning work with the hi-vis USMC skins it would be a shame to see some of the more colourful USN skins.

    I don't know where you see this. The server admins that work regularly 6+ hours a day coding (n addition to their jobs) trying to keep up their servers are actively trying to communicate with ED, which they are right now, to make DCS better. There are a few issues in MP, but those issues are game-breaking for a lot of people. Nobody is griping here, everybody is wanting the same result, which is a better DCS MP, and obviously ED are working on it, but the server admins who are creating these wonderful and extremely complex dynamic missions have to deal with so many bugs that should have been fixed some time ago, and that is why everyone is talking here.

     

    ED are working very hard to resolve this in coordination with the community, and the fact that you think that this community which has been, still is, and hopefully will continue to support ED greatly with help is GRIPING ED? That really is an insult to what lots of people do working up to 6 hours a day out of their free time on extremely creative, extremely complex, dynamic multiplayer campaigns on servers with 40+ people regularly trying to fix and deal with bugs present in DCS, of course along with continually finding workarounds for issues in DCS' code. What we are doing right now, all of us, is trying to work with ED, understanding eachother and both our needs and capabilities, to try to make DCS MP a good experience for all.

    Similar issue just now on the 104th, low level high closure rate the WACQ mode was showing the target 30 degrees left and down when actually the Flanker was sat right on my nose, and even turning into where the symbology showed the Flanker to be (which was actually beneath the ground) the symbology was still showing ~30 degrees regardless of turn rate.

    Hi all,

     

    I've upgraded my gaming PC and to work around redownloading DCS I've just ported the SSD over to the new build and it runs just fine, but DCS doesn't show up in the program lists in explorer, and all the .exes don't have icons etc etc. How can I get windows to recognise DCS as a program just on a different drive without redownloading?

    ED loves their bundles so one would be naive to think one won't be available someday. If a bundle deal is important to you then I suggest you hold off on your purchase until a bundle deal is available.

     

    Heck if you wait long enough you'll be able to get the Hornet / Carrier in a bundle deal for $30. You might have to wait a number of years so enjoy.

     

    At this time there is no guarantee of a bundle deal nor has any promise been made. To expect ED to offer you a deal later on is nonsense. The deal, if you already pre-purchased, you agreed to was a discount on the retail price of the DCS F/A-18C module.

     

    There's most likely going to be a pre-purchase discount on the Carrier Module when it gets released, isn't that already enough? How much more of a discount do you need? I bet if we added up the cost of your PC components and your peripherals the cost of a module is a small drop in the bucket.

     

    Thanks for the response, although not really sure if my comments deserve to be deemed "nonsense." This was simply floating an idea - hence Wish List - that would mean Hornet early adopters don't potentially lose out. If there is a pre-purchase period for the Carrier brilliant, I welcome it as part of supporting modules in an early state to help with bugfixes whatnot. This was not an idea designed to simply to save money, so any insinuation as to the investments I have made in a hobby should be set aside, rather to meet any potential expectations that Hornet early adopters would have from the information as to the future of Naval operations in DCS published so far.

    The CVN-60 carrier modules has a develop outside of the F/A-18C hornet moduel, the same situation can be with the Su-33 FC-3 Module and the Kutnesov carrier module.

     

    Of course, we can expected some bundle deal packs in a future, but not "discounts".

     

    Q: Will the Hornet come with a new, highly-detailed Nimitz-class aircraft carrier with new features and functionality never seen before in DCS World?

    A: These will be two separate modules, but we plan to provide a bundle deal at a later point that will includes both. We currently plan a less-detailed version that will be a free part of DCS World.

     

     

    Forgive some confusion or my misunderstanding something,

     

    Given that the Nimitz Module has been confirmed on the module Q&A and that the Hornet was always understood to eventually be part of this bundle deal would it not be unfair to customers who bought into the Hornet with the understanding that down the line there would be such a bundle to effectively charge them more than if they did not buy into the pre-order? This is a wish list after all.

    Can the F/A-18C carry a single AIM-9 on stations 2, 3, 7 & 8?

    Or can it only carry the double AIM-9 configuration on those stations?

     

    Don't believe you can load a single AIM-9 to the rail, but I suppose you could load 1 on the dual rack

    Have cleared configs, deleted old files, ran repairs, and even defragged the HDD once more and I am consistently being kicked back to the server browser or having to task manager and stop DCS as it hangs. Most noticeable on bigger servers like the 104th. When I do occasionally get into a light server like an aerobatics server then it is constantly freezing sometimes for upwards of a minute.

    16GB RAM

    GTX 1060 6GB

    Originally they sourced Harrier pilots from existing Helo pilots, but found they could not reconcile the fast jet portion of the envelope. Certainly in the RAF/RN Harrier pilots they are fast jet pilots just with some helo experience, rather than the inverse of helo pilot with some fast jet experience
