  1. Hello guys! First of all I want to say thank you! Over the past couple of months I received some messages from guys still looking forward to this one. I never finished this model, but after all the PM I thought it would be unfair to tease you and never let you bomb it. So I put the stuff together I've made so far and just give it out to you. Here is a render of the (very basic) destruction model: I will figure out how to implement it again and tell you where to get it by end of next week.
  2. After a lot of work the past month and the pretty stressful holidays, I finally found some time to continue the project. I currently creating the destructed modell - this is even more challenging then a simply intact house :juggle: My intention was to create the full compound but for the time beeing I am happy if I finish the main building soon - but I hope, sooner or later, the rest will come to life too.
  3. Thank you guys, for your positive feedback. Hi Skull, I definitly plan to release this to the public. Because even I can think of about half a dozen missionscenarios to use this. But I think, I have to consider this is kind of a sensitive topic. Besides that, I am far from beeing a real 3D artist or something like that. At the moment this model is realy the opposite of beeing optimized. I am currently working with a 2048x2048 .bmp as texture. This is 12mb in size. But i think I can reduce it to 1024x1024 without loosing to much of the details.

  6. Great model you made there! But, I have often seen the oto melara firing in real live, and I believe the smoke effect you use is to strong.
  7. I understood, but I thought atorque did not get it so I wanted to give him a hint.
  8. After the collisionbox-thing worked well I now tried to create a model for the destroyed building. I made a second model with a new texture, copied the file "thecube_des.EDM" also in the Structures/High/EDM folder and added in the StructTable.sht . (The model is visible in the modelviewer) But now it is not shown in DCS. Does anyone know what I did wrong?
  9. I am pretty sure it was. I now borrowed the Laptop of a colleaque and opend the file there. 3DS showed an error message about a texture. I then did the same steps as with my version and this time it worked without any problem.

  11. Thanks for your ongoing support! Yes you are right, it is in german. Could this be the reason for my problem? I chage all the Values, except for the diffuse channel to 0. It did not help. May I send you my .max file and you take a look?
  12. Ive choosen “default“ as described in the pdf and i am getting this error. But what do you mean with setting all unused to 0?
