I have Black Shark (original) and I seem to get glitchy (jumpy) graphics even on medium settings.
I just upgraded my rig, and even when playing ArmA3, a notoriously hardware-demanding game, the game auto-set puts me on ULTRA setting and my computer can handle it, so I am wondering if it's because Black Shark is now so old that it just won't make best use of my hardware.
The essential components of my computer are,
Windows 7
Radeon R9 270 2048MB
i5 4690K, at 3.5 ghz +
8Gb 1600 RAM
The graphics on BS seems blocky to the point my cockpit dials are hard to read, so it seems like it shouldn't be that demanding on my hardware.
Do I just need to get BS 2? Will it make a difference?
Also the Patch 1.0.2 won't install. Yes it's a clean install. (i installed 1.0.1 earlier which went fine, but uninstalled everything again to reinstall BS and 1.0.2 ONLY....as per the instructions....)
Also I read that BS uses only 1 cpu core. Do the newer DCS products use multiple cores?
Thanks in advance for any help I can get.
I dusted off my old BS game to try it out to see if I want to get DCS's newer products but at this point I am wondering if I should waste the money. But I could be doing somehting wrong.
Edit: The patch 1.0.2 stops at a window that says "Backup".....I have tried leaving it alone for a while but after a while when i check Task Manager, it always says "not responding"....
