  1. UltraMFCD - drag, resize and click display exports. Zero configuration. Hi folks, UltraMFCD is a new mod for DCS that allows you to take full control over the sim's display exports in real-time - all without touching or editing a single thing in DCS. You can drag exports to any monitor connected to your PC. You can resize the exports just as you would with a normal window. The buttons associated with any given display are integrated directly in to the screen in a "touchscreen" fashion. Public Beta available for download at https://ultramfcd.com P.S. For those of you already familiar with the project, I started this thread since people were missing the original behemoth on account of the title lacking any indication that it was something to do with UltraMFCD.
  2. Again, joebloggs, the non-functioning keys are down to how the particular server is set up. Some servers let you fly an arbitrarily modded DCS, whereas others are very strict about how your files are set up. For UltraMFCD's buttons to work, it creates a custom export.lua on the fly, which will be rejected by the "strict" servers. The best thing to do (and to prove the above is the case) is to try all the public servers until you find one where, for no apparent reason, the buttons suddenly start working again.
  3. Yep, that would be the best place to ask. I've not tested it with multiplayer for a while, but what I noticed when I did the first round of tests in that field was that certain servers are set up to deliberately prevent custom versions of Export.lua from running. That would not only prevent UltraMFCD's buttons from working, but also affect the vast majority of other "interesting" mods, such as Helios. Suppose it's up the the server admins to allow/disallow custom Export.lua :)
  4. It's been a bit of a mad day for uMFCD. 1.0.0.39 is already done. It fixes a bug whereby selecting "Colour CCD" would sometimes cause the TGP to display a completely black image. Good time to test the "New Version" system, I suppose. :)
  5. UltraMFCD Beta 1.0.0.38 is available at https://ultramfcd.com/ This release resolves (we hope) the intermittent "no windows" bug that was introduced a couple of versions back. Additionally, the app will display a message when a new version is available.
  6. According to testing with Icemaker ("no screens" is back for him), it might have nothing to do with anything you guys are/have been doing. Entirely my fault. Still working on this...
  7. UltraMFCD 1.0.0.33 is available at the usual download link. In testing with Icemaker, this build resolved the "no windows" problem. If the problem persists for you, please let us know as soon as you can. Additionally, the "Reset All" button now works on the displays in real-time. In fact, many of the "under the covers" changes in the two most recent builds move functionality from "restart-time" to "real-time", which is why it's important that we know it works properly. :)
  8. Thanks for the feedback. I'm currently testing a hunch as to why Icemaker's problem might be occurring.
  9. UltraMFCD 1.0.0.31 is available for download at https://ultramfcd.com/ This release contains very minor changes to functionality - the CDU now remembers whether the keyboard is visible or collapsed - but major refactoring of the rendering engine. These "behind the scenes" changes pave the way for enabling the selection on only the exports you want, as opposed to the current "everything we have", in addition to making future display additions easier to implement and more stable. Given that it's such a major internal change, this release may be buggier than that which we've become used to. Have at it! :) B
  10. Yes, and apologies for not getting to this sooner. It will be back eventually. :)
  11. Nope, just tried that and had no effect.
  12. Ah, hang on. Did you darken them with the MFCD brightness/contrast controls?
  13. And just to be absolutely clear: You're not referring to the infrared views, which still remain B&W?
  14. We know that sometimes the colour CCD doesn't "kick in" the first time you switch out of standby mode. Cycling between STBY and AG/AA usually solves it. It' likely the two are related, if Sobe's experience isn't a hitherto unseen modification by Helios. This isn't a high-priority bug, but will investigate proportionately.
  15. So you can fly a whole mission with the original TGP imagery, even when colour is selected? Anybody else seen this?
  16. Yep, if you desire. In a RL upgrade to the LITENING. You can switch it back to the older B&W model in uMFCD's settings.
  17. Fixed and patched in next release. :)
  18. Ah ha! This is extremely useful info. Will attempt to reproduce now and issue fix in next release. Thank you.
  19. Hi folks, Just thought I'd share this track. When I'm testing software, sometimes I get carries away and start blowing stuff up. Here's a track of my AI wingman and I taking out a whole SA-11 battery. The recipe: 1) Leave your wingman WELL outside the SA-11's engagement envelope. As soon as the battery starts shooting at him, he'll go Engaged, Defensive, drop all his weapons and do something silly like fly in to the ground. (AI - Almost Intelligent) 2) Plan your attack. Note cover from terrain etc. 3) Take out the SA-11's search radar. In this track I accidentally take out the command vehicle first, then come back for the search radar. 4) Once the radar is down, make sure you still have the attention of all the SA-11 TELs. Without their search radar, they can't see what's coming from behind, but still want to shoot at you. 5) Have your wingman take out the TELs from the opposite direction to that which the TELs are pointing. They have no idea what's coming. :) Baker A-10C_SinglePlayer_WildWeasel.trk
  20. This is now coded up and will be in the next release.
  21. Really appreciate what you're saying here. You're right that it takes a massive amount of work to make mods for DCS that are polished and stable. It's an extremely complex beast! :)
  22. We've had quite a few of these reports recently. There was some issue with the LSS key of the TGP getting stuck, too - again suspected not to be uMFCD. I will investigate, of course. :)
  23. This behaviour is due to the fact that uMFCD needs to completely override anything you previously had set for the exports in order to render them at the maximum possible quality. Once you've moved them back to where you need them, the system will remember those positions. It's also worth noting that Helios users aren't /really/ the target audience, but supported nonetheless. :) Edit: It's also worth noting that uMFCD isn't "a slightly revised" Easy Monitor Configurator. It takes complete control over how/when/where the MFCDs render at the DirectX level, which is what enables the ability to move them in real time, along with a whole load of interesting things in the future, such as rendering of different machines etc.
  24. 1.0.0.29 available at the URL below.
