  1. I have been working on a series of missions for the F/A-18. Currently I am working on attacking a moving convoy, I can not get my wingman/ flight to engage. I have tried several different task/commands and triggers. Every time I give the command: wingman or flight, engage/ mission and reform, the AI confirms the command (I think with "Roger") and then fly around and do nothing. I try engage/ ground targets and they say "unable". I have tried everything under the sun that I can think of. I made sure that the waypoint is far enough away to allow for them to setup their attack runs. Any ideas? The mission is flyable, fun and can be completed without the AI engaging the ground targets, but I am afraid if I post it for users to download, people might be disappointed in that aspect. I am very new to the mission editor, but enjoying creating missions. Thanks!
  2. Quick update! Good news I started DSC World and it did an update. I tested a E-2 launching from CAT and it worked. The carrier was heading west which east and west tracking carrier is where I was having issues. Thanks for the update/ fix, and thanks for the hard work that is put into this sim. It is beautiful!
  3. Okay, thanks for the info. I wasn't sure of the process and didn't want to come across as a pest. Thanks again!
  4. Just a friendly question. I assume when a post about an issue has been labeled "already reported" that the issue has not been fixed yet. I had posted a question about AI aircraft not launching from carrier in DCS World and was looking for an update on the issue. The main reason I just want to make sure that it isn't just me that is still having issues with this. Thanks.
  5. I know that this topic was labeled as "already reported" and closed in the Bug forum. But has there been any solution to this. Open Beta works fine, but World still has this bug. Like I posted previously everything seems to work as long as the carrier is tracking north or south. Just checking.
  6. Having problem with Ai launching from cat. Get half way down the cat and stop or launch and disappear, sometimes they flicker. Does it on both Caucasus, and Persian Gulf maps. It seem to work fine if the carrier is tracking north. Happens with missions created in mission editor as well as default training mission (cat launch). Started after most recent update. i7-7700k @4.2ghz 16GB DDR4 Ram ASUS Turbo GTX 1080 8GB Samsung SSD 860 500gb just for DCS Windows 10 Pro 64
  7. Okay thanks for the info. I am in the process of a reinstall. Maybe that will fix it.
  8. AI aircraft get half way down the carrier on launch then stop or disappear. I have noticed if the carrier is tracking north I don't seem to have this problem. Any Ideas? I tried running the repair with no luck. Getting ready to try a reinstall.
  9. Good job! Little bit smoother than I have been doing.
  10. Yep, I have been using zoom as well. It makes it a little more touchy. Played around with different graphic settings as well.
  11. I didn't want to hijack another thread on this topic. So basically I can't really make out the ball until 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile without zooming in, is that normal?. I adjusted my gamma to 1.6. My screen res is 1680x1050, 32" monitor.
  12. +1 Thanks ED and Wags!
  13. DCS Works Open Beta / AV8B the sensor select forward and sensor select left will not work. Under settings/ control page those two rows are shaded or hightlighted. If I turn trackir off they will function and those rows on the control page (Lwin U and Lwin Y) are not shaded. Hope this makes since. Any help would be great. Thanks!
  14. Bought a new system. question is will DCS run with Directx 12? Found out that FSX will not, so it made me question if DCS will be able to. Thanks.
  15. Sounds like I need to try the Cold War Server! I pretty excited to try my hand at multiplayer, probably will get my butt handed to me. That's okay, I will learn a lot from it. Thanks to everyone!
  16. That's good info! Thanks again
  17. I just played most very first multiplayer match. I started in the F5 a plane that I love to fly. I also started on the open conflict server. I've been playing DCS if for several years as well as BMS. But like I said this was the first time ever time to play in a multiplayer match. I have several questions. Questions about comms, with teamspeak. Protocol and procedure questions and much more. But my first question is how do I identify friend or foe in multiplayer, flying the F5. It's a simplistic aircraft and that is one thing that I enjoy about it. That being said I am afraid of shooting down a friendly aircraft. I have been using the F10 button to look at the map and see if the aircraft is a friend or foe. I eventually would like to fly with other people doing co-op missions, and formation flying. But I would like to start with the basics and try not to shoot down friendlies. I will probably return to ask the other questions. Thanks in advance for your help.
  18. Great! Thanks for the info.
  19. I am thinking of buying a new rig. Do I need to deactivate my modules and campaigns? Also when you purchase a campaign and it says it has "3 DRM activations" does that mean that you can only play that campaign 3 times. Hope that isn't a stupid question. Thanks
  20. Still no joy on mission 10. Getting on average 1-3 fps, max 9. The only thing I am worried about will I need a new rig for the up coming modules, like the F-18? I would really love to see the campaign through though. I guess I will keep checking after each update. Thanks system specs Intel® Core i7-3820 CPU @ 3.60GHz, Win 7 64, Radeon R9 390 8192mb, 20mb RAM
  21. Okay thanks for the info!
  22. I can not complete mission 10 the frame rate drop to 3 -7. I have changed settings to lowest possible. Did DCS world repair. updated drivers. I have been working for days with no luck. Anyone else have this problem? I am not much of a computer guru, just love flight sims. I sent a request to support, but thought I would check here also. I flew the first mission with F-15 Georgian War, my FPS were about 60-80 on the ground, and 180-200 in the air. A10 Georgian Hammer seems to be doing fine. All on medium to high settings. Thanks in advance! system specs Intel® Core i7-3820 CPU @ 3.60GHz, Win 7 64, Radeon R9 390 8192mb, 20mb RAM
  23. Thanks for the input everyone. I will try some of the ideas, and if that doesn't help, I will invest in a new PSU. Thanks again!
  24. I was Running DCS world 1.5 I believe. Was in ADF training for the Gazelle is when it would reboot. But does it sometimes with the A-10 as well. I updated my video drivers yesterday, doesn't seem to matter what driver I use. I have been looking around at PSUs. Mine has just one large multi-pin plug in in the back ,with a mess of wires coming out! Thanks for your reply!
  25. Start with a disclaimer, I am not a computer guru by any stretch! I have been having problems with my computer rebooting during a flight. I have tried to turn fans up, clean dust out of the case, thinking it was over heating. I downloaded HWmonitor to check temps. From what I can tell everything is acceptable. I am worried that it is my PSU. I have a Aurora R4, with AMD Radeon R9 390. I have no idea what my PSU is. I was also wondering if I can turn down the specs in the game to prevent it from happening? Or do I need to get a larger PSU (if I can find one for an Aurora R4)? My system specs are as follows: Intel® Core i7-3820 CPU @ 3.60GHz Radeon R9 390 8192mb 20mb ram I tried to update drivers as well. Sorry for my lack of knowledge with my system.
