I decided to give this a chance and have now played around 20hours. I have actually been enjoying it (after installing a few mods) and can see that it has huge potential. But Its going to take some time. I hope to come back to an improved game in a few months time.

uuurgh what a horrible game, I am so disappointed. Can't believe I paid £40 for this... its not the bugs either, its the game itself, its beyond saving I think.

So what do we need to do to get DCS to add a dynamic campaign/s ? I would gladly donate money!, a kickstarter maybe? This sim would be incredible and unrivaled for a long time to come with this addition.

I long for a dynamic campaign , I would probably play nothing else and would definitely buy all the dcs modules to get the best out of it.

just sent you a steam friend invite , I'm 'Jacknine'. Im loving the campaign as well , although I think there needs to be a little tweaking with initiative points somewhere. Brave chinook pilot resupplying two of my front line tanks...

lots of complaining on the forums regarding the 20min time limit in campaign battles. I only got a quick look last night , but I believe 20mins equates to one day of battle The battle can last several days , so the sectors you take/lose in the first twenty minutes are crucial to how the battle is shaped on the second day. Something like that anyway...

Had a good game against the AI last night. I picked the British battlegroup, I set both teams to NATO, the AI I think picks one at random. I took a few zones and setup a forward line with a mix of Challenger and Crusader tanks , whilst putting Fusilier infantry into towns on the left and right side. I also setup some Rapier Sam's and AAA just behind the line , with a few Mortar units. I waited and waited , but the enemy never came. Sending some recon units up to forward positions revealed that the nme was building a force similar to mine , he had also picked the British! I like the way that if you put recon troops into high up positions , like mountains, they are able to see for a long way. I then started doing 'shoot and scoots' with my Challengers , moving them up one at a time, taking out nme armor that had been spotted and retreating quickly, I took a few hits , but quickly brought a few supply trucks up to do repairs. I was also able to put down some mortar barrages onto know nme positions. It seems they didn't like this , next thing a swarm of Harriers and Tornado appears overhead and all hell breaks loose , followed by approx 6 groups of Royal marines who stormed my front line and took out several of my tanks. It was too late by now and I had to go to bed , it seems there isnt a save function so I called it a stalemate. It launches tonight I believe, which means its dynamic campaign time :)

When BS1 came out (2008 I think) , I bought a copy of it. I am convinced that I used the same email address that I use for personal use today , cant think why I would of used another. When I came back to buy BS2 upgrade a few months back , my email was not accepted. Have there ever been any account wipes or anything? , Im really stumped as to why it wouldnt work..

There is nothing wrong with spotted dick, but you must have decent custard. Grats OP!, a nice thread this one..

I just bought the game/beta on Friday, I cannot agree more with this statement! It has Harriers and Lynx heli's :) , I just like zooming in to look at them whilst my other units get blown to pieces! My swedish AI opponent sent a Viggen in, so I spent the next minute flying along with it whilst it destroyed my troops!. I must try actually win a game , would help if I had a manual though , I never played EE so was a bit lost to begin with..

Did you try what was in my earlier post, enabling erp in the APM config in the bios?
