  1. OP Hammerfall #3 done on the third attempt. First try: Mav misses SA-9. SA-9 goes into hiding behind mountain. Finally manage to kill it and lose my tail in close contact with mountain top -ejecting. Second try: Scratch SA-9 easily. Destroys first bunker with GPS guided bomb. When in for the next run a mountain somehow reaches up and touch me -killed. Third try: Go in, mark SA-9, Bunker#1 and Bunker#2 with markpoints. One Mav and two bombs later mission is a success. Call in ground troops and fly home... Picture attached showing entry points for safe entry through cloud base. Also shows my pattern for marking the targets and killing SAM.
  2. Op Hammerfall #3 Wow! Intense feeling breaking through the cloud layer seeing the valleys and mountains around you. Cool stuff flying back and forth below the clouds milking enemy SAM:s during each pass. I finally managed to scratch that Gaskin but lost my tail after a close encounter with a mountain top. Looking forward to giving it another try! A very good mission that forces you to plan, manage your weapons and fly efficiently.
  3. Managed to squeeze in one mission last weekend... Almost... Op Hammerfall #2. Was RTB when my daughter woke up in the middle of the night. Had to finish the mission and land with her sitting in my lap reaching for the flight controls... Living the rock'n roll life with small children in the house. Seems like I'm up for a challenge this weekend with Hammerfall #3 according to all comments above. Will be fun!
  4. It's not necessary to call in assistance from Chevy. I destroyed all targets and then had to eject; no call for assistance -> Mission success. Mission 5 awaiting this weekend. Sitting down behind the joystick on friday night when the house is finally quiet with a cold beer and a glass of whisky... That is quality time!
  5. I did this and it worked out great. Gave mission three another shot.. I really like the "authentic mission" feeling you get when flying. Everything is quiet and then -BANG- something happens, some intense moments and then all of a sudden everything is calm again. Are you home safe now? Area clear? You don't know... Love it!
  6. It went better this time... It helps getting the offset right! :) Too bad you cannot revert the mission though... Im not happy with the result as I had to bail because of stupid decisions. Well well, on to the next mission...
  7. Great job Baltic! I just started the campaign and I'm enjoying it this far. It all started great in mission one with one of the other A-10:s doing a taran on me while landing resulting in my pilot losing all stats because of fratricide... Mission two was interesting... I haven't succeded in mission three yet. Got some questions regarding that one: Thanks a bunch. Can't wait to get back in the seat!
  8. Im also flying with the X55 and TIR. Only single monitor though... No mods used so I´m familiar with the neck-breaking involved with looking at the panels. I'm using Shein's X55 Rhino profile and I can recommend it, it works great! With this profile a rotary on the throttle works as zoom axis -very helpful... http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=120911
  9. What is this? Jeopardy? Good one!
  10. I can confirm an issue with the small mouse stick on the throttle. I noticed in the stick's programming software that the mouse behaved strange. It works in game when slewing, but the more you zoom in on the TGP the harder it gets to fine control the slew. It seems to me like a miss in the design of the mouse... It's just not exact enough. Works for me but gets a bit annoying at times. Foo out
  11. I use Rykane's profile. It is based on the profile made by Shein but with some modifications. Works well for me and it includes an easy to follow step by step instruction... https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/645073/ I've got a couple of hours flying with the X55 and so far I'm very pleased. A good option for us not "allowed" to buy the TM:Warthog.
  12. I also have to disagree with Home Fries. I've flown the A-10C now for a year with my 3D Pro. It works well for me when using modifyer buttons. So with a limited budget and limited time (kids) I don't see the reason to upgrade to a new controller (but it would be an improvement I'm sure). BUT, what improved my experience a lot was when I bought the TrackIR. Now I can't fly without it... A bit too expensive yes, but worth it!
  13. Ayia Napa... Got some nice gaps in my memory from that place.
  14. That's the best part with this game!
  15. Ah, my bad... It was the security officer at the work site that told us to hide under the tables in case of an attack. They had one guy armed with a pistol at the gate and it took the police and military almost an hour to get there. At the compound we had guys with AK's patrolling. Except during Ramadan when they were sitting with their guns a couple of meters away from them eating and drinking; but I guess the terrorists also celebrated Ramadan so... Almost. We bought eachother beer and vodka. But when his eyes turned black and his muscle memory kicked in and he started locking and loading imaginary firearms it was time to leave...
