I’m anticipating buying a cake with a candle for the anniversary of this bug coming up in July.

I really hope not.  It's really hard to not get caught in the bag ED dark side, but is there any idea @Flappie that someone can tell us it is being taken seriously and not just on the back burner.  The multiplayer scoring this time has been broken longer than the last time.  Love ED and DCS World so please, just an update, the silence is deafening.   Thank you.

Yes, and even more than that. As strange as it may be, it seems to be an intricate issue. Several different things got changed at some point, resulting in the absence of unit kill count. The main source of the issue may have been located. Hopefully we'll get a fix soon. 🤞

    Last known good, was 2.9.5.55918

  3. I have multiple sim rigs and confirm this is an issue on all of them.

    • I run no mods what so ever
    • I have recently rebuilt 2 sims clean and confirm it's an issue right out of the box (no previous versions installed)
    • Use VR all the time (quest 3) with link cable
    • Still got issues with multiplayer scoring system
    • Still got issues with crashing when pausing server or just leaving VR headset off for 10mins (multiple rigs again)

Last time I had no issues with anything was pre Afghanistan map release DCS 2.9.5.55918 - 05.06.2024

Once again, happy to offer my services to help ED fault find this issue (and others).

This issue is not being ignored. Devs have been working on it earlier this month.

Flappie, this is the 2nd time that the MP scoring has been broken in an update then taken more than 5 months to fix.   But it is the lack of communication and awareness of all faults that is the issue.  Surely a master list of faults could be made so we can easily see if there is a timeline or it's been put on the back burner?

Still the same after today’s update.

I'm a massive supporter of ED but it's frustrating that ED does not communicate where faults are in the timeline.   They could easily put together a viewable list of what they are working on (one single webpage list) so that people are not left in the dark.   Simple stuff.

  6. Scores not recording and getting disconnects on clients with VR?    Hour glass situations that require a full reboot on the client.

No issues with 2.9.5.55918 and older (since the prior to the release of the new launcher) but every update since.

I love some of the improvements etc, but core stuff like this is really hurting.  I have rolled back almost 9 updates on my server and all our internal sim rigs (twice) due to multiplayer issues.

Every time DCS crashes, we submit the reports.

We have zero mods across 6 clients and the crashes occur on different clients at different times, cannot peg it anything specific.

I am happy to donate as much time as needed for testing to help.

  7. Hey Newy,

Finally getting to this as I rolled back for a while but just updated again. Don't run mods but I will get a log file to you soon.  The error message is

Message: TypeError.s.values.forEach is not a function

Cannot even click on the account info to bring up any account info so now have disabled the launcher via the options.lua

    Does that help at all?

  8. Has ED ever looked at or thought about revamping the communications menu to make it less of an immersion killer (having to use voice attack or mouse etc)?

By this I mean, making the menu fully selectable with a controller bind for UP and DOWN and being able to SELECT what you want, all without taking your hands of your controls?

I like the jester menu from Heatblur and how that works but it's too in your face.  This suggestion would be to keep the communications window up top right but just easily selectable.    Does that all make sense?

  9. Can confirm the flashing yellow graphics distortion on The Channel map across multiple computers. Happens in both multiplayer and single missions. Happens on both the screen and in the VR headsets. We run 5 x DCS computers and it's happenned since the last major update and was still an issue after the very latest hotfix. Haven't updated Nvidia drivers and don't allow windows updates to run at all. Will try the latest drivers today Flappie and report results.

  10. Concur - running the F-18 SP Mission and get "You are not authrosied to land" after the last update.

Also the Cold Start and Launch Missions start you in the air. Seems an authorisation issue rather than a bug.

  11. From following these threads, it's not sounding to me like it works well. SRS does work well and works with the plane radios. If you haven't used it you don't know what you're missing. And it seems a little odd that a professional installation would be afraid of running a second piece of server software. That's trivial. And, again, actually *works* with the *full* feature set that's a very long way off for DCS. (Phase 3 was the plan? 4?)

I know what you are saying as I am not putting down SRS at all. We are already using numerous pieces of software, reducing complexity is a plus. I for one am glad we have inbuilt chat functionality (whilst limited) and it will only get better.

  12. Hi

can I ask you to attach your dcs logs for the team to check.

Voice is in its early stages currently and the team have had some issues with different hardware configs.

    Thanks

Cheers Scott, we got it working. We double checked everything and rebooted everything including routers and wifi accesspoints etc.

In answer to the other person's question: Why do we want to use Voice Chat over SRS is because it is one less piece of software needed and it does work well. It will also only get better and we operate in house multiplayer not externally.

Having the voice and internal cockpit sounds via the headset and the engine / outside sounds via external speakers is great.

  13. Scott / Bignewy, any update on this, it seems very hit and miss. As a small commercial operator of DCS World I'd like to have it working within our test store. Strangely, all configured but each client can only see it's own name on it's own simulator.

    * All simulators (4) have static IP's

    * All simulators have Voice Chat enabled

    * All sound options set to correct devices

    * The Server has Voice Chat enabled

    * Telnet to the server IP on port 10309 works

    Are we missing anything?
