  1. Thanks Sabre-TLA! The width is 37.2" as like you have measured, and the height needs to be 2.5" lower than it now. I´m going to fix it tomorrow, because tonight I´m going to get drunk . :drunk: Cheers. HarSu.
  2. Hi MTFDarkEagle! Thanks for correction. You are Right, the frame was too high. I hope that it´s not too low now. It´s very hard to tell how high it should be, unless you haven´t sit in genuine A-10 cockpit. You start to get blind things like these when you stare them by your self. HarSu.
  3. Hey. OK. Because there was no any info of the canopy frame, I decided to make it like "It might look like this" canopy frame.;) I put some sticky tape and some other sh*t, to support the frame to see that it fit´s on it´s place....(Looks good to me, just some finishing):detective: Does this look anything like A-10 canopy frame? :noexpression: Let me know your opinion. HarSu.

    The Cube

Hi. Maybe stupid question but... Like Gadroc said in his post, http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1652870&postcount=211 "When using the CUBE project supported by DCS there is only one head position where everything looks perfect. That position is the direct center of the cube. In essence this means your normal sitting eye position should be directly in the center of the cube and at half the height of your walls." So, does that mean that, if my Eye Position is in 114cm/3,74ft of the ground (measured by my youngest daughter...), that my cube must be at least 228cm/7,48ft of height and width? Or should my eye position be center of projection area? By the way. This projector http://www.misco.co.uk/product/Q2933...s&page=1tabs It costs here in Finland only 294€ for now. HarSu.
  5. Hi to all. A little help is needed again.... Can anyone give some dimensions of canopy frame height?:helpsmilie: I put some options on my picture... What is the distance from point "A" or "B" on the top of the frame? Any dimesions are wellcome.:music_whistling: Cheers. HarSu.
  6. Hi Gus. It was little bit tight place to take photos, but here´s some pictures of those rolls... The raisers tend to stuck on the edge of hole where it goes trough to the seat belt retractor. Maybe it needs some "guiding roll" there, but after all my raisers are just decorations so I leave it just as it is now. HarSu.

    HogBox

Hi Gus! Nice to hear that you got your indicators to work. I think that I must do the same thing to my indigators, even though my indicators was not acting like yours. HarSu.
  8. Hi to all! Ok, I got my "Aces II" seat to finished. So here you go... I can post more pictures if you want!:music_whistling: HarSu.

    The Cube

Hi guys. I'm not familiar of projectors but what you think of this product? http://www.misco.co.uk/product/Q293350/NEC-U260W-2600-ANSI-Lumens-WXGA-DLP-Ultra-Short-Throw-Projector?selectedTabIndex=2&tabBarViewName=ProductTechnicalSpecifications&page=1tabs I dont know is this good projector, but with this device you dont have shadows, right? I found one place in Finland where it costs only 468€ each. Pretty cheap, allmost free. So what you think guys, should I buy five of those immediately or forget them? HarSu.
  10. Hi. Deadman, Thanks for the advice! Dropship Pilot, nice catch with the fittings. But like You and Deadman said, it´s pretty expensive... at least for my "Aces II".:( My costs for my seat is so far pretty much under 50€. Only things that I have bought is 2 mousepad (for headrest cushion), some screws and paint cans. All other stuff is from old furniture (all wood parts), an old garden umbrella(for cushions) and my neighbour old Opel Astra (for seatbelts and other stuff).:smilewink: But now when I know what I should do with the ballistic hoses, my seat should be ready at this weekend.:joystick: HarSu.
  11. Hi to all! And thanks for the nice words... again. Not much improvement, cause I'm confused of the ballistic hoses of Aces II A-10 version seat. There is hundreds of different pictures that I have seen and there are some differences. For example. Here is picture from KLaFaille, on Flickr And here is another one from Ejectionsite.com http://www.ejectionsite.com/anon1/A10ACESrt.jpg As you can see the KLaFaille photo shows the ballistic hose on the right side of the seat than Ejectionsite.com´s picture shows anything on that side??? Can anyone confirm what is the official thing with these hoses? Is there both side hoses in A-10 seat?:helpsmilie: Two pictures of the seat... nearly ready.:music_whistling: HarSu.
  12. Hi HMA. Do you have any details of your plans how to move seat? My plan was use the cordless drill motor and some gears and chain, but I have not figured out how I do it that I don´t lose ability to seat height adjust. Keep up the great work! HarSu.
  13. Hi to all. Little update to my oxygen bottle... Here´s some stuff what I use to build it.. I have one old silicone tube and the red ball what is stuck in to tube is some old wooden ball. Some kind of filler, and then there is soda bottle upper section, that is waxed from inside with normal car wax. (to avoid the filler to get stuck in to a soda bottle, it is kind of mold to upper section of the bottle) Here is the picture of the "mold" with filler. And here what it turned out (Pretty good, I think. Just a little sanding and it´s fine) Uhh. The bottle looks pretty good, but the painting is quite blurry, there might be some wax left on surface....(1000 sandpaper couple of time and repaint so it should be fine) Gauge is from some old fire extinguisher that needs new background... HarSu.
  14. Thanks Sabre-TLA. That is just what I need. HarSu.
  15. Hello to everybody! A little progress... I just finished the seat cushions, as you can see I´m not very good with sewing machine. The cushion is little too narrow, but I can live with that, and I'm very proud of myself.:music_whistling: The seat fit like a glove in my pit, maybe it is little too close of consoles if you compare it to real one. But I hope that my seat don´t fly anywhere when I pull the ejection handle. I think I get my seat finished in couple of weeks. i´m gonna do my parachute harness rolls next week in my real life work, so I can put my seatbelt assembly to it´s place. Oh. One thing. Can somebody tell me the diameter of the oxygen bottle?:helpsmilie: Couple pictures of my cockpit. I have to start to build some "flesh" around my cockpit that it wont look so bald... I'll be back.... HarSu.
  16. Hi! Thanks for the nice words to everybody! That keeps me motivated at this project... Well, I did get the paint job finished at last weekend, and carry the seat at to my cockpit. It turned out, that it was just perfect fit... :smartass: There is still one good question, that I don´t know. WHAT IS THE RIGHT SPOT for the seat? :helpsmilie: I found this picture, and I think I´m gonna make it like it shows. However, the seat height might be whatever so it does not give me any answer. My purpose was send some pictures to you, but my ejection handle mechanism turned out faulty. There is one ferrule that don´t hold, it loose little by little when the right side handle is pulled( Left side works fine) I´ll fix it tomorrow, so I can get back to details of my seat. Well, here is one photo of my seat in strange position... More to come, stay tuned ! HarSu.
  17. Hi to everybody! I think it is time to start the HarSu´s A-10C cockpit building thread. First of all, I have to thank ALL of you guys for being so much inspiring for me to start this whole project at all... Special thanks to Duckling, Oakes, y2kiah and Gadroc. It is nice to see what you guys have done with your own cockpits, and that has give me a lot of ideas and inspiration. Ok let's start. So, I had this little thing called "cockpit" for a while. In there was it's own seat, throttle and control stick...(I played Falcon 4.0 at those times) and I was very pleased for that setup for long, long time. Then I found DCS A-10C. And I ordered one OpenCockpit's card to improve my cockpit.... But when the card arrived, I did not have any time to do anything with my cockpit. (family issues) At this period of time the game was changed to DCS-WORLD, and so I think that I was F****D... And my expensive OC card was worthless.... But.... There was some guy from Sweden, who help me out of this situation, and gave me trust to build my own cockpit. (Thanks Gus!) OK, that enough for that, so let's start.... First I like to show you a little peek of my upcoming cockpit. Here is few pictures of it. I'll get back to my cockpit (more photos), after I get finished my ACES II look a like Ejection seat. And maybe it's good time to say now, that I'm not intent to building equal replica of the seat, just something that looks and feels good, but so much alike than it is possible with my resources. :( I do not have any CNC machines in my use, so all of my constructions are handmade. I use chipboard, fiberboard and lot,lot filler. Here you go... "ACES II" Here is what this all start (started 31.7.2013) It looks like spice rack... Here is something for parachute container.... And here I did make some sort of mistake with angle of "container" now it is correct. ( I think?) Starts to look like a chair... A little improvement. Hmm... Ejection handles painted. Hmm... Back of the seat.. Well, I think I can get the seat "finished" at this weekend, but there is so much to do with the details.... I'll be back.... HarSu.
  18. Hello. I´m new at here and this is my first post of this forum. I have started to build my own A-10C cocpit about two month ago, and I have some panels ready with toggle switches with them inputs, and everything is working great, but now it´s time to move outputs of the game. So my question is. Is it possible to use OC cards and SIOC in DCS World A-10C 1.2.4 any more? And if it is, HOW?:helpsmilie: All the posts of SIOC are like three years old, and the DCS game folder have changed so much that any of these "instructions" seems to be correct any more. I have OC´s USBExpansion + MasterCard, but I don´t know what to do them. Throw in the trashcan? Sorry for my English.
