Good grease for TM Hotas Warthog
nigglascage replied to nigglascage's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I have disassabled my Warthog but i'm stuck :( It's impossible to push out the swivel plugs with an 3mm Allen key no matter how much force used. I applied so much force that i even started shaking but the damn thing just won't pop out. What am I doing wrong? -
Still not used to differential brakes...
nigglascage replied to Nealius's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
I find differential breaking with my Saitek rudders rather tedious as well. My right toe break tends to stick when I increase the friction so I had to reduce it which makes them sensitive as hell even with curves. I assigned both breaks to one of the toe break axis and thus lost my differential breaking, but I don't need it anyway since you are only supposed to steer with the nosewheel anyway. -
Good grease for TM Hotas Warthog

Yeah it's a bit cheaper but shipping is slightly more expensive plus i don't have use for so much grease, since you don't really need to regrease with this one :) -

It's a bit hard to see (under the product name): Lubricant, Grease, Nyogel - 2oz Tube Art.No.: 767A Edit: i just wrote the micro-tools.de shop an email to make 100% sure if it's the Nyogel 767A product. They confirmed it. -

Good grease for TM Hotas Warthog
nigglascage replied to nigglascage's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I ordered Nyogel 767A today. It was a bit pricey but seems to be a high quality product. I was pretty hesitant regarding the replacement of the original grease but the benefits should be worth it. I will report back as soon as I've received the grease and completed the task. -

Thank you. This one was much easier to find. -
I'm considering to relube my TM Hotas Warthog but I can't find the recommend EM-50L grease in my area (Austria, Vienna). I found some shops in Germany but they only sell 1KG :megalol: Can anyone recommend an alternative? Any input is highly appreciated.

TM Hotas Warthog Throttle Levers
nigglascage replied to nigglascage's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Thanks for pointing it out! I started flying with unlocked levers since you recommended it and walking the throttles is pure amazing. I've got a question tho, is it deprecated to increase a little bit of left engine power when I drift slightly to the left while AAR? I tried it today and it worked pretty well, but I'm not sure if it's the right thing to do. -
A-10C Formation Flight Fundamentals Training
nigglascage replied to AFAlinebacker42's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
I'm in! Cold. -
I don't use curves when flying the hog and I'm able to air refuel for 3-4 minutes without disconnects (bingo to full) without problems. I prefer no curves because I'm a sucker for linear input and the TM Warthog is very precise but that's just me, although with the F15C it just didn't feel right without curves. Actually I'm going to try the F15C without curves or maybe just tiny ones when the AFM gets released.

DCS Flaming Cliffs 3 on Steam NOW!
nigglascage replied to Beaver McFanny's topic in DCS: Flaming Cliffs
Thanks. I was able to activate it using the steam key with no problem. -
I got FC3 today and I'm using following T.A.R.G.E.T profile for the F15C: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/250296/ The mapping works great but the pitch and roll axis feel a little weird. Usually I'm flying the A10C and I don't know how the F15C should "feel" like. My question: are the zoom/curve settings of the mentioned profile realistic or should I tweak them? X: Zoom/S-Curve = -1/3 Y: Zoom/S-Curve = -1/4 Many thanks in advance!

DCS Flaming Cliffs 3 on Steam NOW!
nigglascage replied to Beaver McFanny's topic in DCS: Flaming Cliffs
I've got the a10c and p51 module (non-steam purchase) and I want to get fc3 via steam. Is it possible to activate the module with the key I will get form the steam purchase?
