From what I can see the failures start around the nozzle in the rocket part. It's difficult to see how the payload would be having a direct impact. It shouldn't make any difference whether it's a GLONASS satellite or a bag of cheese.

I assumed that to be the case given DCS levels of fidelity. All you have to do is click the cannon mode activate button again but even without that extra click, sometimes the time delay between a lock, pressing fire and the missile coming off the rails and beginning to guide is already too long. The extra click just makes things worse still.

Damn. I guess the people who thought of that setup need a lesson in human factors. Let's have the gun hot in BVR mode, but forget trying to slave AIM-9s in GDS.:doh:

Does it automatically try to lock AIM-9Ms in radar gun mode if the target is central or do you have to specifically request AIM-9M lock?

If I press '1' twice to get back to NAV from ILSN the screen freezes and I have to Ctrl+Alt+Del.

MiG-29S you can't turn the camera fully around like in the F-15C. I also have questions as to why friendly radars appear on the inner circle of the F-15 RWR and why radar coverage stops at 60,000ft on the VSD?

Why do Russian planes have restricted head movement vs F-15C and why do F-117As have ridiculous maneuverability as well as being impervious to missile blasts?

Can this setup be changed so that moving it back to centre requires a positive down movement?

I tried mapping this to the right Y-axis on my controller but it doesn't seem to have the desired effect. Everytime I let go it returns to centre, is there anyway of making it so that it requires positive force to move it back to centre?

When you reach the last waypoint is there a way of going back to a previous one, at the moment it just goes back to ILSN?

Is there a reason why the waypoint caret on the bearing display at the top of the HUD doesn't match with the line in the middle?

+/-30 wide and +/-20 in height (p110 of manual), orientated in line with plane axis, so the width actually becomes the vertical in a hard turn.

When you say 'zoom mapped' do you mean 'target range'. The manual suggests it's possible to move the IRST elevation and azimuth, is it correct? Can you manually adjust the elevation scan range to make it wider as with the azimuth range? When it refers to +/- 300/600 in azimuth range, what are the units?

Is there a time delay in VS because it didn't seem to auto-lock for me?
